Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @krakonos:

Emperor Joseph II, founder of Prague, hospital area on Charles Square, New Town, Prague. Yes, you read well. Josef II. founded Prague. Before him there were four separate Prague cities - Old Town, New Town, Lesser Town and Hradcany. Emperor Joseph united them in 1784 into one city. Enlightened sovereign ... (And he also founded this hospital.)

I rewarded @krakonos entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit his blog and check out some of his other entries.

Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!

Picturesque wooden cottage found in the Průhonice Park in Prague. With a total area of some 220 ha, the Průhonice Park is one of the largest chateau parks in the country. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2012, the park is mainly famous for two things - the Průhonice Chateau and the extensive botanical collection that includes over 1,600 species of trees and shrubs, most notably rhododendrons.

The Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord is a Roman Catholic church at Jiřího z Poděbrad Square in Prague's Vinohrady district. It was built between 1929 and 1932 and designed by the Slovene architect Jože Plečnik.

I have already traveled a lot of cultural sights of the Czech Republic, but I got into the Cheka only now 2 years later, I began to study this country. Cesky Krumlov is a city like no other! Coming here, if you find yourself in the Middle Ages! The atmosphere is amazing, I want to stay and quietly ride a boat, imagine myself living in a castle and take a walk in the flowering gardens! If you are traveling to the Czech Republic, be sure to select at least a day to visit Cesky Krumlov! YOU WILL NOT REGRET!

Old Town Square
A magical and unmissable place. One of the most beautiful squares in the world. Beautiful by day and magical by night with all the lights that create a very special atmosphere. Prague is beautiful but this square is more so.

There is not a single person who has visited Prague and would not have been on Old Town Square, for it is the story itself, and Prague began with it!
Why is it called that? It's simple. Stare Mesto - Old Town.
In Prague, all areas of the historical part have their own names, for they were once separate settlements.
If you are going to an organized excursion - this will be the first place where you will be taken, if you yourself - the first place where you go.
There is always a lot of people in the square

Baroque fountain with plague column, Charles' Square, New Town, Prague

From March to November 1680 the plague killed in Prague. About six thousand people died. This pillar with the statue of St. Joseph holding Jesus-child was built to thank God for ending the plague.

The artwork with Franz Kafka's head consisting of 42 horizontal segments is quite awesome. The segments rotate independently of each other and it is fun to see when the face takes shape. This is one of David Cerny's famous works of art, some are scattered throughout Prague.

I can't wait to visit and see this one!

Church of st. Salvator
If you cross the CHarles bridge you are stopped by this this church on the Old Prague side. The church is a very nice baroque building, and inside it is very nice too. Take care, the square in front of it is always fully packed with tourists.

Pilsen The column of the Holy Virgin Mary or the plague pillar, which is located on the main square of the city - Republic Square. It was installed in 1681, sculptor Christian Widman became the author of it. Such pillars were installed in many European cities as a sign of gratitude to the Virgin Mary for getting rid of the plague epidemic. The plague epidemic in this city ended in 1680.

The church of St. Nicholas in Malá Strana, in Romanesque style, rebuilt according to the baroque dictates is one of the first religious buildings in the city and a magnificent example of Bohemian baroque. Some rococo shades make it even more valuable and magnificent. The interiors are wonderful and the fresco that dominates the nave is fantastic.
