Hello fellow Steemians!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD!

Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Australia. I am also adding New Zealand to the same challenge as there were some concerns from other Steemians as to which continent NZ belongs to.

See the winner of the last week´s Australian Monday @jpphotography with the following entry:

Queensland Sunset. When travelling up Australia's East Coast, I was lucky to get on a rideshare with some awesome people. We drove all the way from Sydney to Airlie Beach in a week; On our last night camping, we saw this awesome sunset from the campground we were staying at.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winner of Asian Sunday and give him your support if you like his image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for him by upvoting his winner announcement post below:

@jpphotography Asian Sunday entry:

Railay Beach Viewpoint, Thailand. Located near Krabi, Railay Beach is a popular spot for rock climbing. I do some rock climbing myself, but in Railay I went on a different kind of climbing trip when I scrambled up a small trail to reach this beautiful viewpoint - covered in mud.

It's whale season again across the south east coast of Australia.
Keep an eye out for those spurts, especially around dawn. The low position of the sun makes the spurts glimmer on the surface during this time, making them much easier to see.

Wow! What an amazing click!

This is me hiking through beautiful Hooker Valley in New Zealand. In the background you see Mount Cook beneath some dark clouds. This is a very beautiful part of New Zealand and a very nice hike to Hooker Lake, where little Icebergs are floating around.

What an amazing scenery for a walk.

One of my favourite walks in New Zealand!

Nullarbor Plain
We came across this strange weather phenomenon in the Nullarbor Plain in south australia. After two days of driving straight we saw these cloud formation in the sky. Until today I have no idea what caused these strange cloud formations.

Thank you so much for your entry. Have a wonderful day. Tomas

Raglan, New Zealand

Raglan NZ.jpg

Surfers from all over the world are drawn to Raglan, New Zealand to challenge themselves on its world class waves. After a day in the water, there's nothing like trading surf stories with good friends over a drink while watching the sun go down and plotting the next day's adventures.

Stunning colors!

Thanks! It was a gorgeous sunset!!!

"Sydney at New Years Eve"
About an hour before the first set of fireworks light up the sky, we watched this perfect sunset over the skyline. What started then was beyond anything that words can capture. A masterpiece of Sky-Painting. As far as I know they spent something like 200Mio Australian Dollar on those Fireworks^^ Worth the show^^.

New Years in Sydney is magical!

It truly was!!!

some park, opposite harbor site from the opera house. It seemed to be the only place free of charge and with a good view

Yeah it can be hard to find!

Mona Vale´s Rock Pool

f2.jpg

This photo was taken this Winter at Mona Vale´s Rock Pool (north of Sidney) with my brother’s new drone: DJI Spark. The preparation for the shot involved waiting for a sunny day, the fight with the wind to stabilize the shot at the chosen x,y,z position of the drone and also shooting different waves movements to select the best one.

The rock pool itself is natural but over the last century, the Australians improved it by giving it a rectangular shape, building some stairs and safety measures.

Well all that prep work worked out very well!

The midnight Australian barbecue!

While travelling australia, I've never really spent time watching the clock neither questioned if I was doing write or wrong. I rather was going with the flow and that leaded me to time like this evening during which we decided to cook under the stars.

At first, I thought it was a bus stop:)

Sydney, Australia.
Sydney, is the largest, oldest and most cosmopolitan city in Australia with an enviable reputation as one of the world's most bautiful and livable cities.
There is so much to do and see. For example, the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, two of the most iconic structures on this planet. I love this city.

It wold be great to spent NY over there to experience those fire-works in full blast.

Devils Marbles in Australian Outback

The Devils Marbles are a famous formation of round rocks located in the Australian Outback and visited by many tourists on their way to the red centre. I stayed on the campground that is conveniently located right next to the rocks and in the early morning the rocks turned into this beautiful orange colour.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

Looks like a huge ostrich egg:)

This is Kata Tjuta - The Olgas - in central Australia. Just up the road from Uluru - Ayers Rock. There are some fantastic colours out there, although when I was there it was very hazy, so it took a bit of work to bring the colours out in this one. I can provide the original uncropped and unprocessed image as proof of authorship if necessary. right click -> view image to see larger.
