Hello fellow Steemians!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD!

Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Australia. I am also adding New Zealand to the same challenge as there were some concerns from other Steemians as to which continent NZ belongs to.

See the winner of the last week´s Australian Monday @marc-allaria with the following entry:

The photography I posted represents dolphins of... Cocos Keeling Islands, which are Autralian Islands in Indian Ocean. A group of them have got used to visit the anchorage several times a week and were happy to pose in front of my camera. I'm sure they have heard about @czechglobalhosts and wanted to be posted for the Australian Monday contest. Done !

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winner of Asian Sunday and give him your support if you like his image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for him by upvoting his winner announcement post below:

@boilingchill Asian Sunday entry:

Biei - Hokkaido, Japan. One of my favourite places in the world. A quiet morning in the blue pond in Biei. The autumn colours serve as a brilliant warm curtain, a deep contrast to the cyan and turquoise mirrors of the water.

Today I'm sharing a photo I took at Hastings Point, a pretty coastal settlement in the Tweed Shire of New South Wales. This hamlet is surrounded by national park, and it's nestled between the vast ocean and a delicate estuary. It's a popular water sports venue where I stayed one night among other caravans and tents.

Dead Tree in the Outback

When I visited the Outback in 2016, the sky was clear every day, but just weeks before it had rained in this dry desert and many plants were green and even wildflowers were blooming. For this tree in Kings Canyon National Park the rain came to late apparently.

Things you don´t see every day

One late afternoon during our Housesit in Currumbin at the Gold Coast I heard a rustle outside. When I looked out of the window I saw that cute little red Wallabie in our Garden. I went down to take some photos, but it was a bit shy. Luckily I still could take some photos of it.

This was a pretty special dive for the person on the left in the background of this photo. It was their first ever discover scuba dive and we had mantas galour circling the bombies at Lady Elliot Island. I kinda wish I had her details so I could share the photo with her.

My first stop in New Zealand was to Te Anau on the south island. Te Anau is a little town with not much to do, the most interesting attraction probably being the glow worm caves. The boat ride out to the caves was my first encounter with New Zealand's beautiful nature, and I was very impressed with the natural surroundings that I saw during that short journey.

It's almost Christmas, why not improve your classical Christmas tree with a few megabats? Those are Grey-headed flying fox hanging down in the royal botanic garden of Sydney near the opera house.

Brisbane - Australia

I went to check out the new bars for a drink and pizza under the Story bridge on the Brisbane river. Nothing beats a ice cold beer on a hot summers day with an amazing view.

There is a wonderful place located near by Sydney. A National Park to escape during the weekend and relax within nature next to wonderful waterfalls. Doing absolutely nothing has never been more enjoyable!
The place is named the "Blue Mountain National Park" and it is well worth the visit :)
