Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Europe.

See the winner of the last week´s European Thursday @stabilowl with the following entry:

This is another photo of Civita di Bagnoregio, the dying city, or the Jewel on the Hill as described by Rick Steve. This place used to be a bustling town during the Medieval times, and apparently used to be much bigger. Unfortunately erosion and earthquake means that the hill started to shrink in size, buildings fell of the cliff and people started to move away. Nowadays it is mainly a tourist attraction. The permanent population at Civita is only about a 100 in summer and can drop to a mere 7 during winter.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #42 - winner announcement!

@jpphotography Asian Sunday entry:

Railay Beach Viewpoint, Thailand. Located near Krabi, Railay Beach is a popular spot for rock climbing. I do some rock climbing myself, but in Railay I went on a different kind of climbing trip when I scrambled up a small trail to reach this beautiful viewpoint - covered in mud.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #42 - winner announcement!

@bluebottlefilms Australian Monday entry:

It's whale season again across the south east coast of Australia. Keep an eye out for those spurts, especially around dawn. The low position of the sun makes the spurts glimmer on the surface during this time, making them much easier to see.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #42 - winner announcement!

@mata.lensa Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

The sea that surrounds the world has become an important role for all the living beings that exist on earth. Even the sea counted larger than the mainland. And below is the ocean located at the western tip of the island of Sumatra (Aceh). This area is also a silent witness to the Tsunami disaster in 2004 that destroyed Aceh and is now the best destination point in "Banda Aceh".

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #42 - winner announcement!

@extremejogging African Wednesday entry:

Hi Tomas. Long time now see. While I'm sitting here in the beautiful Victoria, Canada, I saw your post and missed my local trails! Here Deryck and I am exploring a single track high up in the Jonkershoek Valley, near Stellenbosch in South Africa. During spring time the typical plants of this area, called "fynbos", grow beautiful little flowers, as far as the eye can see! Keep exploring...

This is another photo from the beautiful mountains in Switzerland. I took this photo just above the very small town of Reuti, in the region of Interlaken. There are tons of hiking trails leading to other small mountain towns open in the summer to give a great workout along with an incredible view!

That region of Switzerland is so beautiful

Beautfiul country, beautiful region. Thank you for sharing Matt.

Side view of the beautiful historic building of the Palace of Justice in Rome, Italy. Located in the Prati district of Rome, this majestic building is the seat of the Supreme Court of Cassation and the Judicial Public Library.

Thank you so much for your support. Have a great day!

Rome, Italy. A place filled with History, cultural heritage and great motives for cityscape photography. The Colosseum, probably the most famous of all the sights. Listening to all the incredible things that have happened inside the arena, I tried to capture the entire Building with the ultra wide angle. Not that easy. Did you know that they flooded the entire place to have dramatic sea-fights with ships and co. Show-business 2000 something years ago ;) (Nikon D5300 Sigma 8-16mm)

This is such a giagantic place, thinking about how the romans were building such amazing structure makes me wonder how in today's day and age we are able to do the same without huge machines!

Great photo :)

From the top of the highest hill, the view is just splendid. I can see the Cévennes till the horizon and shooting this scenery with a fish-eye gives the feeling of watching our planet from a very high point of view!

I give you a magnificent sunset... enjoy!

Stunning image, bravo!

The beautiful city of Rome, this is the view from the terraces of the Vittoriano, here you have a 360 ° view of the historic center and the Ancient Rome, you can also admire the Colosseum in a very sugestive way.

Yep, Rome is a truly fascinating city. I am surprised how many entries from Italy we get today:)....

Yes, it's true, many beautiful photos of Italy, difficult choice this week.
Thanks for this space, I made new friends in your blog ... 👍

Koufonisi is a tiny roundish island , 3 km in diameter, surrounded by crystal clear turquoise waters. What I have found there is relaxation, calmness and a very pleasant low-key vibe along with numerous excuses to enjoy the Aegean Sea and the Greek sun!

Thank you so much for your submission and this beautiful image.

Castle Solitude in Stuttgart, Germany

This beautiful castle lays just outside the city of Stuttgart. It was built between 1763-1769. In these old days it was used as Hunting and representation castle. Nowadays it is open to public.

That looks spectacular!

This photo was taken inside the beautiful Galeries Laffayette, in Paris, France, an excelent place for shopping and a wonderful surprise for tourits and adventureres, who can find an architectural masterpiece and an awesome view of Paris!

What a magnificent ceiling!

Thank you! ;)

Pocitelj, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The small village Pocitelj is one of Herzegovinas gems and offers a beautiful view over the Neretva river. The name "Herzegovina" comes from the German word "Herzog" and means "Duke of Wine"; a former ruler of the region has been a famous vine-grower.

That is such a nice scenery, I you gave me the choice... I would pick this place to build my house!

Great capture, I love the colours :)

That would definitely be a wonderful place to build a house!

What a beautiful scenery. Than you so much for sharing with all of us.

I took this picture in France (Bretagne) in National Park close to Crozon. There is a path going around, so from one side you have sea and from the other forest and rocks. You can also find nice and hidden beaches like this one on the picture.... but Bretagne is famous that during one they it can be four season.

What a nice little bay, I want to be there:).....
