Waiting for the sun to rise behind himalayan mountains from poon hill... a particular moment! Many Trekkers sleep in Ghorepani a village near Poon Hill and get up early to see the sunrise above the 8000nds Dhaulagiri (8167 m) and Annapurna. It's awesome.

The ice that calve off glaciers form huge floating icebergs that slowly drift with ocean currents until they melt into the sea. As temperatures warm this will result in sea levels rising.

Picturesque little chapel El Penon del Fraile that is located on the main promenade along the coast in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife Island, Spain. Puerto de la Cruz is a charming town in northern Tenerife, known for beautiful beaches and colorful architecture.

Los Roques beach with strong waves, black sand and volcanic landscape is located in Los Realejos, very close to Puerto de la Cruz on Tenerife. Its beauty is unique and spectacular. The two giant rocks emerge from the sea to give this beach its name. The beach itself and the hills above it are part of a nature reserve.

Western façade of the Westminster Abbey. This is one of the most well known gothic buildings in England. It is where the British kings and queens are coronated and buried. The older part of the building are from the 10th century, however the two towers of the western façade are from the 18th century.

I took this photo by the lake of Klammsee in the Kaprun area of Austria. The water of these alpine lakes is usually very clear, so reflections are common sights here. I've loved this beautiful region of Tyrol - you can enjoy breathtaking views almost everywhere after some easy hikes.

Skyline of Frankfurt
In Germany we have just one city with (more or less) a skyline. All other cities don't really have big skyscrapers. Frankfurt is a very important city in the field of finances and banking. Because of its central location, Frankfurt also have a huge airport.

The Parthenon was completed in 447 BC and it is the most important building of Classical Greece that still stands! I took this shot in January, on a glorious sunny day during my visit to the Acropolis of Athens, honoring a personal tradition that I follow the past few years!

Berlin,
Capital of Germany. A place where you'll find the ugly and beautiful, the cheap and the wealthy the popular and the infamous.... all next to each other. Sometimes it feels like you'd be walking through a piece of run down once upon a time popular piece of architecture and all the sudden you will find yourself next to a pretty castle like this one. Most diverse architecture in one place.

The wonderfully still Lake Lucerne in Switzerland. This is a massive lake surrounded by picturesque mountains, towns and countryside - a land of pure natural and geographical beauty.

My picture is from Switzerland.. I travelled to Geneva some years ago. It was winter time so the top mountains was snowy. I took the picture from the aircraft.. When I saw this beautiful coast, I wanted to capture this view.

Cute little white house in Santorini, Greece. I loved all the white and blue houses, hotels, restaurants and windmills around the island. A real postcard picture everywhere you look. The splash of color is a bonus… and it smelled so gooood!
