Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD!
Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Europe.

This is a drone shot taken at the Grossglockner High Alpine region. At 3,798 metres above the Adriatic, the Grossglockner is the highest mountain in Austria. Driving in this area is a feast to eyes. The winding roads are like ribbons flowing between the majestic mountains, lush pastures and flowery meadows.
Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Dark Clouds over New Zealand Beach. I don't remember on which of New Zealand's countless beaches I took this shot, but I believe it was somewhere on the North Island's West Coast. Despite the dark clouds in this photo, I was lucky to have almost no rain during seven weeks in this beautiful country.

While on a bush walk in the Okavango Delta in Botswana, we came across this Zebra family. Not long after, the rest of the herd emerged from the bushes and they all started to run past us then joined up with a herd of wilderbeast of in the distance. It's amazing to see all the wild life Africa has to offer.

ColorChallenge - Purple Sunday - @whimsical-magic in 7 World's Continents Photo Challenge!
Monumento a San Fransesco, Rome, Italy. Sculpted by Giuseppe Tonnini and erected in 1929 right in front of the Basilica of San Giovani in Laterano, the Statue of St. Francis of Assisi (Monumento a San Fransesco in the Italian language) is a huge bronze sculpture installed on a massive base made from the peperino stone. A catholic friar, deacon and preacher, St. Francis of Assisi is one of the most venerated religious figures in the world.
Biogradsko Jezero represents the largest mountain lake in Montenegro. It is located on Mount Bjelasica, and wooden environment makes the most beautiful part of the national park Biogradska Gora.
Water is supplied by glacier melting from the mountains and during the autumns it's usually low, as it can be seen on the photo.

I have spent a holiday on amazing island officialy called Thera, but we know this island like Santorini with beautiful white houses. Did you know that Santorini (Théra)has more churches than houses, donkeys than men and wine than water? Of course we wasted by local wine. :))
We are here at Sardena on one of the most beautiful islet of this main island. Islet "del mal di ventri", which means something not really romantic, but the essential is that this islet is wonderful, one of the most beautiful anchorage of Sardena. Enjoy and dream in waiting for this summer !

Europe has some stunning modern architecture. One prime example is the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain: The complex is controversial because of its high cost, but the architecture is certainly impressive!

Purple sunrise
Very early morning at the coast of Northern Cyprus not far from Kyrenia. Shot during our vacation there few years ago. While everybody still sleeping, I;m not about to lose such an opportunity to shoot sunrise while hotel is just nearby the seaside. Normally I;m too lazy to wake up if need to spend rather more time to reach destination shooting point
Prefect rocky coastline is very different from what we have here at sandy Baltic Sea. That's why much more interesting for me personally. Was quite lucky to experience very calm morning with perfect burning skies

This pilgrimage basilica began building seven years after the saint's death in 1238. It is one of the largest buildings of the 13th century in Italy.

It really is not all too often that the sky produces such an intense atmosphere around here and it was lucky that I had been avoidable at this hour to document it...! ~ We are not staying in a big city but the ˋfancy thing´ that rises up higher than the surrounding trees is a floodlight mast sometimes active in the evening :)
Slavín is a memorial monument and military cemetery in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. It is the burial ground of thousands of Soviet Army soldiers who fell during World War II while taking over the city in April 1945 from the occupying German Wehrmacht units and the remaining Slovak troops who supported the clero-fascist Tiso government.
The old centre of Turin from the top of the Mount of Cappuccini. The photo was taken before the sunset when the sky was clear to see the Alps as well as the tallest building Mole Antonelliana.
