Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Europe.

See the winner of the last week´s European Thursday @mrprofessor with the following entry:

The Julian alps - Slovenia. During these years of adventure on this world of ours, I've been through many challenges; cycling the Julian alps during the winter was one of the toughest. High elevations, freezing temperatures and just a tent as shelter, those days can me remembered in pictures, but the feeling of being out there will never be translatable in any form.

Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #98 – winner announcement!

@vcclothing African Wednesday entry:

The long straight road we drove along from Chobe National Park to the Okavango delta in Botswana. Roughly 600km drive. Along the way we saw elephants, ostriches, Zebra, warthogs and kudu along the side of the road. Just keep an eye out if they decide to cross the road. Nice straight road in this section, not many pot holes which was nice.

Clock Tower in Split, Croatia

The city center of Split is very special: What became the city walls of a medieval town, was once the walls of the giant palace of the Roman emperor Diocletian. Many roman ruins remain today.

As in any big city, you will find many architectural treasures in Munich. The center of Munich has undergone various renovations. There are plenty of interesting places to see, including exquisite Gothic architecture, such as the Old Town Hall on Marienplatz.

Tak ta se ti hodně povedla :)

Díky, mám jich ještě pár v zásobě :-) do dalších kol. Dost mi připomíná radnici ve Vídni nebo v Liberci, které jsou v podobném stylu.

Takže bude fotosérie á la Villa Tugendhat :D ;)

Zvažuju to, ano :-)

My entry for this week in 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. Photo taken on Stara planina in Serbia, near the peak called Babin zub. It is a starting point for the climb to one of the highest peaks in Serbia, Midžor (2,169 metres (7,116 ft)).

The baltic sea coast with a beatiful nature beach in Germany

The Baltic Sea Coast in Germany has lonely dream locations in spring and autumn. When the high season is over, the beaches can be recorded in a particular nature. That´s the way of life!

The photo was taken in spring on the peninsula Darß in Germany.

The milky way hiding behind a pine three. That was the view from my tent entrance as I was camping in the village of Mont Dore, France and discovering I can take night photography.

This is Dunyvaig Castle, located on the south side of Islay, in Argyll, Scotland, on the shore of Lagavulin Bay. Just across the bay from it lies Lagavulin Distillery which, in my humble opinion produces the best peated single malt in the world.

A Glance at the Alps

When going to France from Italy, following the Destra Po cycleway, I had the chance to take a look on the distance and contemplate what I'd have faced if I had decided to go north; the imponent peaks of the Alps breaking the smooth line of the horizon.

The Thing

Very warm.... WINTER sunset :) Yes, warm is just an illusion from warm sunset colors. Obviously if you look closer, the slight cover of snow is noticeable over the sand.
And yet caught another alien creature, just crumbled out of the see looking for a victim

Turn your fantasy on, can you see aggressive snaky head? Or is it ducky? :)

Shot at the coast of Curonian Spit, Baltic Sea. Wide angle lens and natural light only

Enjoy the view!

Matera

https://steempeak.com/travel/@lightcaptured/moment-matera-italy

Traveling somewhere new and beautiful, instead of throwing big birthday parties was one of the best decisions I have taken in my life. In the last few years the successful formula to cover as many amazing places as possible is: fly, rent a car, drive and at the evening start looking for a place to spend the night. Wake up on the next morning and repeat the procedure ;) And so on, and so on...

This particular photo trip was no exception. We had tens of locations to visit and flew to Bari, got our rental car and after some driving, we found our way to Matera. A friend of mine, also a photographer, had recommended the city few years ago and it was on my radar for quite some time.

Sunset moment from that same day, the amazing Matera.
If you haven't been there, plan for it, you won't regret. It is truly an amazing destination.
