Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of North America.

See the winner of the last week´s North American Friday @travelshots with the following entry:

This is one of my favourite shots of Toronto's skyline that I took from the Toronto Islands. I used an ND-Filter to make the water look smooth and silky. In combination with the colour key it looks almost like the city is floating on a big cloud.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #51 - winner announcement!

@amyalfatasya Asian Sunday entry:

Enjoy the beauty of the sunset on Saneey beach, Aceh Indonesia. This beach is located far from the capital of the large Aceh district. I took this picture and had to pass a road that was very far from the main road. And the natural scenery on this beach is very beautiful with a combination of mountains and sea.

@vinceboisgard Australian Monday entry:

One thing I know for sure about the Australian outback is that it is always a calling for new adventures. Driving the open roads, being lost and discover the real beauty of the country. Being amazed the clouds and each sunset you can possibly see... Take me back there.

Next frame from the frozen Baltic Sea coastline shot back to February, 2014. Finally the cold started to retreat and in the evening even got some water on the ice surface, adding even some more reflection. Shot with very wide angle lens.

@timothyallen African Wednesday entry:

This photo was shot at a 'Gerewol' in a remote corner of Niger's Sahara desert near Lake Chad. A Gerewol is a gathering of nomadic Wodaabe people who come together for a few days and (amongst other things) dance together for many hours. This is a photo of one such dance at sunset.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #51 - winner announcement!

@aegir European Thursday entry:

Paris. For the best view you don't go to the Eiffel Tower, but to Tour Montparnasse, where you can see the Eiffel Tower in all its glory. The view from Tour Montparnasse was reason enough for me to get back there at night time. It was worth it, It think.

I took this photo a few weeks ago as the sun was rising in Hollywood. One of the benefits of being an early riser is getting a chance for shots like this. Usually I just use my iPhone, but this was taken on my Sony Alpha mirrorless camera. Right now, sunrises like these are rare, but we get some great ones in the autumn months that are coming.

One of the magnificent villas found on Paseo de Montejo, the main boulevard in Merida, the biggest city in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. Merida used to be one of the richest cities in the world and local businessmen had numerous large, opulent villas and palaces built for themselves all over the city.

Oxbow Bend

I am a mountain girl and one of my favorite places is the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. It has many amazing mountain scenes including this incredible view from Oxbow Bend. Mt. Moran is on the horizon and being reflected off the Snake River.

Breathtaking scenery Sara. The b&w fits it nicely. Very peaceful.

Elbow Lake in the Elbow Pass ,taken on a hike to Rae Glacier in Kananaskis Country Alberta. After climbing to the lake we were pretty warm and decided to take a rest here and cool off with our feed in this cold glacier lake.

View of Niagara Falls from a Helicopter

When I visited Niagara Falls, I took a helicopter that flew over the falls. This photo is one of the photos that I took in that opportunity. The Canadian side is on the left and the American on the right. It is impressive to see the amount of water that goes through the falls. The photo was taken in winter.

I really like trees as motive for photography. Especially some dry branches in great view landscape. This photo is from Arches NP on the trail to Windows. My girlfriend suggested this angle, so at least half of the photo is hers 😄

Sulphur Steps, Yellowstone NP

The Sulphur Steps are an amazing sight in Yellowstone National Park - unless you mind the smell that is. The walkways crossing the steps provide amazing views over the volcanic landscape.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

An amazing sight for sure ~ ⭐️ ~

Hi

The BAPS in Atlanta, Georgia

The BAPS in Atlanta, Georgia is a traditional Hindu place of worship. The mandir(temple) located in the Atlanta suburb of Lilburn, was constructed in accordance with ancient Hindu architectural scriptures, and is the largest mandir of its kind outside India. The temple gets decorated with lights every year November for Dipawali (Festival of lights). The temple is painted in white and the colorful texture is the effect of lights. The evening will be followed by fireworks which add more colors to the temple structure.
