Yosemite National Park. It's been over two years now that we finished our 4 week honeymoon in the western part of the USA. Yosemite NP was one of the hightlights for sure. Great trails and hikes, so much to explore and an incredible Airbnb stay at Susan's home in Oakhurst. Expected many, many tourists but I still think it's worth going if in the area.
Have an incredible weekend everybody :)

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. @vinceboisgard Asian Sunday entry:

Trekking the Himalayas is such a wonderful experience, the views are stunning even breathtaking! It is a physical walk but for the locals, carrying huge bags of rice wearing pyjamas pants while walking in the snow is a routine! I always was amazed by them overtaking me on the way!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #55 - winner announcement!

@bluebottlefilms Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

This one is fresh out of the water. Although the waves were small, it allowed me to get right up close to the impact zone. The water was only about half a meter deep so keeping an eye on the sets was important to avoid being flattened on the reef.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #55 - winner announcement!

@axeman African Wednesday entry:

Aswan at Dusk. True photographers seems to never sleep, especially while travelling :) Joking of course, but still some truth in those words exist when coming to landscape photography, since most amazing shots you can get while dusk or dawn. So here we go, early morning in Aswan, the morning when we arrived there by cruise ship from Luxor.
Shot with long tele-photo lens from the upper deck of the ship. Enjoy the scenery :)

@dali-gis European Thursday entry:

Eiffel Tower. As always when I visit Paris, I must always go to see the Eiffel Tower. It is a pity that it is not ranked among the 7 wonders of the world to really visit, especially the night, ohh my god that it is beautiful! It is wonderfully unavoidable!

This is the Santa Fe Depot in San Diego, the station where I boarded my train back to Los Angeles a few weekends ago. While it's not shown in this picture, the depot itself is from the Victorian Era, built in 1887, that looks incredible set against the modern buildings you see here. It was my first time taking the train from LA to San Diego and I completely loved it!

The Great White, a giant sit-down wooden/steel rollercoaster found at the Morey's Piers & Beachfront Waterparks in Wildwood, New Jersey. During the ride, you reach a maximum speed of 50 mph (80 km/h). I still cannot believe I completed the ride without throwing up :D

No, this is not Paris but Las Vegas, Nevada. I know, the one in USA is nothing compare to the original from Paris, but it is still cool to see. The city of extravaganza, where we can find anything we want…

Antelope Canyon

After visiting Bryce Canyon and traveling South towards Page, the next stop was Antelope Canyon. The web, especially Instagram, is full of images from this spectacular canyon. Actually we didn't spend much time on how this visit would take place. Tourism all the way! In groups of about 10-15 people, lead by a guide, we walked towards the canyon. The entrance is acutally quite hidden. After a short way down a steep ladder you are actually down on the canyon floor. Experiencing this tour through the canyon was really unique. Have a great weekend everybody!

This is the main temple area of the famous Tikal, an ancient Mayan ruin in Guatemala. If you visit Tikal, be sure to watch the sunrise at Templo IV. The moment when the sun rises above the jungle is just breathtaking.

Classic Car in Trinidad, Cuba

A reason for many tourists to visit Cuba are the classic cars that can be found almost everywhere, such as this one that I snapped in Trinidad. The reason for the abundance of classic cars in Cuba is the US embargo which cuts the country off from doing business with any major foreign companies since 1962 - left without any other option, the Cubans manage to keep cars and machines from the 1950s running until today.

I love watching animals and squirrels are one of the most fun to watch as they are full of energy always running and jumping around. They are also so cute when they bury the food and then dig to find it. This one is from Zion National Park.

Shiprock "The Winged Rock"
I was standing on top of one of the feeder dikes that supplied the volcano.
Looking ahead we see the actual volcanic throat which is beautiful and impressive. Shiprock is the most prominent landmark in Northwestern New Mexico USA, it stands 1583 feet above the surrounding plains and can be seen from many miles away.

Hi @czechglobalhosts,
Below is my entry,
The bridge is named as John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge. The bridge is of 1057 ft long and was the longest suspension bridge in the world when it was built in 1866. The best part of the bridge is the pedestrian access. Pedestrians enjoy the bridge walk crossing the Ohio rives and crossing the two states. The Cincinnati down town rises from the edge of bridge in Ohio

Yosemite National Park is in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains. It’s famed for its giant, ancient sequoia trees, and for Tunnel View, the iconic vista of towering Bridalveil Fall and the granite cliffs of El Capitan and Half Dome. I have shared it on my blog
