7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #51 - winner announcement!

@amyalfatasya Asian Sunday entry:

Enjoy the beauty of the sunset on Saneey beach, Aceh Indonesia. This beach is located far from the capital of the large Aceh district. I took this picture and had to pass a road that was very far from the main road. And the natural scenery on this beach is very beautiful with a combination of mountains and sea.

@timothyallen African Wednesday entry:

This photo was shot at a 'Gerewol' in a remote corner of Niger's Sahara desert near Lake Chad. A Gerewol is a gathering of nomadic Wodaabe people who come together for a few days and (amongst other things) dance together for many hours. This is a photo of one such dance at sunset.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #51 - winner announcement!

@aegir European Thursday entry:

Paris. For the best view you don't go to the Eiffel Tower, but to Tour Montparnasse, where you can see the Eiffel Tower in all its glory. The view from Tour Montparnasse was reason enough for me to get back there at night time. It was worth it, It think.

These are the largest known Inca ruins in Ecuador. They are located in Ingapirca.
The most important building is the Temple of the Sun, an elliptically shaped building still standing today.
Except for some llamas, we were the only one there. So cool to have an entire archeological site to our self!

A view of Pocitos, this a famous beach and neighborhood of Montevideo (Uruguay). It is beach on the Río de la Plata. This neighborhood looks very similar to Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro, both were built around the same time.

I was able to enjoy a vacation with my wife, I stayed there for 3 days and we were able to walk through those beautiful places both in Argentina and Brazil, they are huge waterfalls, above all the so-called throat of the devil .. You can swim and walk by boat, and even by boat down many of the falls, I hope you like it ...

One of the special tourist attractions of the city of Pampatar (Isla de Margarita - Venezuela) is the "Punta Ballena" lighthouse. Located in the southeast, specifically in the La Caranta sector. It was designed to be visited and inside it has stairs in a circle that lead to eight balconies with beautiful views towards several points of the island.

Guacuco Beach

Guacuco Beach has some 3,000 meters of coastline and is characterized by a white sand, with palm trees and a constant swell, classified within the category of oceanic beach for its constant hangover, and depth of 0 to 5 meters. Before the visitors managed to prepare their consommé of guacuco, which was extracted in the beach itself, the abundance of this mollusc, of the guacucos, gave the name and characterized that beautiful beach of Margarita.

Everytime Saturday approaches I try to search my old travel folders trying to find something to share, normally landscapes. This time I wanted to go beyond a pretty landscape, trying to bring a photo that makes us think. What would go through your mind in that place?

SUNSET AT CHUSPA BAY

This beautiful bay is located in the last town on the eastern coastal road of Vargas State, 7 km from Caruao and 43 from Los Caracas Venezuela. This town, an era of fishermen, a spectacular extraction of water that constitute one of its main attractions. During the holidays, starting at dusk, the boardwalk that borders the beach becomes a party where locals and tourists gather to enjoy the sunset.

This photograph is of the Galera on the Isla de Margarita - Venezuela. Place surrounded by a large mountain known as La Caparrosa, of sea with many boats, since many anglers leave from there and an interesting history that you must know when visiting.

Multicolour sunset from home, Margarita island Venezuela. This is a very colorful sunset that I was once watching from my home. I enjoy the sunsets that I can see every day from this place on the island where I live and when they are so nice to the view I took photos like this to share the experience.

View of Copacabana, Bolivia at Lake Titikakaka

Most people only know Copacabana as a beach in Rio de Janeiro, but in fact, the beach has been named after a town on the shores of Titicaca lake in Bolivia that is a popular destination for pilgrims and tourists alike. After spending two days on an island in the Titicaca lake, I hiked up this hill next to the town to see my last sunset in Bolivia before travelling on to Peru the next day.
