Is there anything that better symbolizes oceans than dolphins ?! Freedom, power, independence are important components that embody the oceans, and dolphins too! No?! So this is my entry for your contest.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

@vinceboisgard Asian Sunday entry:

Trekking the Himalayas is such a wonderful experience, the views are stunning even breathtaking! It is a physical walk but for the locals, carrying huge bags of rice wearing pyjamas pants while walking in the snow is a routine! I always was amazed by them overtaking me on the way!

Two weekends ago, for the first time ever, I took the Amtrak train from Los Angeles to San Diego. I went with a group of 15 friends for a bachelor party celebrating a good friend's last days of being single. Since it was that kind of weekend, none of us really wanted to drive, so the train seemed like the best choice. And it was. The train goes right along the Pacific Ocean at certain points allowing me to get a shot out the window like this.

Great to see you participating Matt! Thank you so much for sharing your image with all of us.

Overwater bungalows in Juan Dolio, a beautiful isolated tourist resort found in the province of San Pedro de Macoris on the southern coast of the Dominican Republic on the island of Hispaniola. In the pre-Columbian era, Juan Dolio was the site of an indigenous Arawaks settlement of the Taíno people.

Seems like a great spot for quiet get-away vacation......

Orange cloudy wave over the beach in New Brighton, Christchurch - the biggest city of south island of New Zealand. A walk out on the New Brighton pier, one can see for miles. The pier originates from a building that houses a library and pretty decent restaurants.

Wow, what a click! Well done.

This photo was taken during my trip to New Zealand last year. This is Cathedral Cove on the east side of the North Island facing the South Pacific Ocean. It took me ages to get this photo as there was always people under this cove. I think I must have waited for about 10 minutes for a bunch of school girls to take their selfies and wefies before they were finally satisfied and probably went off to post to their Instagram acccount.

What a fabulous place that is. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us.

The East China Sea from Yehliu, Taiwan

The Yehliu geopark in northern Taiwan does not only offer the incredible rock formations that I posted a few weeks ago on Asian Sunday, but also a fantastic viewpoint overlookingx the East China Sea.

Looks like there is no end to that sea! Fantastic!

This one is fresh out of the water. Although the waves were small, it allowed me to get right up close to the impact zone. The water was only about half a meter deep so keeping an eye on the sets was important to avoid being flattened on the reef.

What a great capture. Truly awesome!

Standing in Germany, see the sun go down in Denmark

3km might seem like a lot but actually is not. The Förde between Germany is 3 km wide. You can see the houses on the other side. During tough winters the Förde was completely frozen and you could basically walk over to the other side. There is a yearly swim contest, when a bunch of athletes cross the water passage. We love sitting on this beach and watch the boats pass by, the birds flying around and later on the sun disappearing in a different country.

Here is my blog post for todays entry.

That sure is an amazing spot to chill and watch what's going one! Great shot too.

Baltic Mirages

Perfect and stunningly colorful sunset at the beach of Baltic Sea, near the gates to the port of Klaipeda, Lithuania. Great cloud formations and long wave allowing to get some reflection to make composition much more interesting. Also a bit of long exposure to freeze the movement of the wave

Enjoy the scenery!

It is now more than a year since my last visit of Seychelles.
My second time in that country was just on Praslin Island and I have to admit that I really enjoyed there. Ohhh would love to go on these beautiful beaches again…

Seeing your pics that you are submitting fromSeychelles I sure do have to get there at some point!

Belief it or not, but this is an unedited photo I took on the South Coast of South Africa a couple of years ago. There are few things as beautiful as a sunset over this stretch of the Indian Ocean where we go for holidays every second December!
