Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @lightcaptured:

Here's my entry :) Thanks for the Saturday motivation! Few years ago, I decided to not throw birthday parties anymore, but to go to destinations I've never been before. Prague, the so beautiful, and as it appeared to me, the amazing capital of the Czech Republic was one of the first locations I visited under this "project" :) I knew the old capital is very beautiful, as a photographer I have seen lots of pictures from there, but one of my main goals was to photograph the "Dancing House" at night. On Internet, I've mainly saw daytime photos and I imagined how stunning it would be at night. And I was right! I spent several hours that night, making long-exposure photos of it and this one above is one of my favorite ;) I almost forgot to mention something funny: that night, there was a party on the roof (the glowing blue thing on top) and there were many people dancing! It looked like they were enchanted by the brave architecture of the building. :D I hope you like it!

It has value as a symbol of freedom and peace more than from an artistic point of view. In fact it is a very simple wall on which anyone can leave their trail. Dating back to the time of John Lennon's death, it became a symbol and was often discredited by the communist regime, which, however, failed to prevent its existence.

Even though Lenon's Wall makes it to the contest fairly frequently this one part of it is particularly eye catching. It is very interesting how it is changing its appearance with time as artist are leaving its mark on it. Great image for today's entry. Have a great day. Tomas

I usually suck at night photography but I recently took a night shot that turned out quite well so I am submitting it in today´s contest. It is the St. Hedwig Church in Opava, one of the most famous works of the renowned Silesian architect Leopold Bauer.

Nicely done. I'm also not very good with the night photography/long exposure thing but I dabble sometimes.

Haha, same here :) Also, I just bought a new camera (still just a smartphone camera though) and it seems to be able to take much better night photos than the old one.

We are at the Vysehrad castle, where we find the beautiful and majestic church of St. Peter and Paul. It was a Sunday morning and we found ourselves attending a married couple at the church entrance.

Prague Castle
A long and difficult ride for those who are not accustomed to walking too much however, there were a couple of chances for refreshments on the way. Very well maintained gardens and great views on the way and once we were there the architecture was beautiful and well worth the walk.

This tower is on top of a hill overlooking the castle district and old town area of Prague. It also gives you a good idea of just have large Prague really is. We did not buy the lift ticket and chose to climb the stairs. There are great views all the way up. If I counted right, it is just under 300 stair steps to the top. Excellent place for pictures. The ride up to the park where the tower is was also fun. The funicular is just the cost of a bus or tram ride. So if you already have the metro pass, it is included. The tower itself is a separate charge.

There is a history of why Dancing House it’s built. The architecture is really impressive as it can really show a dancing couple. It is worth taking a walk along the river from the center of Prague to this building. You have to look at it from the outside, even if the cars and traffic lights prevent a calm vision.

Cesky Krumlov
what a fantastic day we have had here. A fantastic tour of the castle, where the bears still guard the castle in the moat. Lovely streets and a very nice atmosphere. Very touristy, but it was more than worth the crowds. There was also a torture museum about the punishments in former times. I felt a little nauseous, but the children loved it.

Mirror maze at Petrin, Petrin hill, Prag
P1090363.JPG
Simply a mirror maze ... From 1891. It used to be a popular attraction. People were looking at their distorted portraits in mirrors. There was not yet a television or a computer.
The main attraction was and was the panoramic image of the Swedes at the Charles Bridge in 1648.

Hiking up Praděd, the tallest mountain in the Jeseniky range north of Olomouc. Near the summit I was rewarded with views like this. It almost felt like I was staring at a giant painting because the colors and textures I was looking at just didn't seem real.

The historic houses of UNESCO-protected ˋworld heritage´ town Kutna Hora are definitely something else to discover...! Alone the many details of the entrance doors are hypnotizing for lovers of ancientness conserved in one timeless building — not even to mention the overall impressions...! ~ Especially American tourists who do not grow up experiencing suchlike visual beauty in their own land are often pleasantly overwhelmed and can sometimes be spotted (- to say it with a twinkling eye -) like pilgrims in front of the holy grail ~ ⭐️ ~
