Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @ansharphoto:

Charles Bridge, Prague. I visited Prague in April 2017 for specific goal to make photos of the most interesting landmarks and create Prague photo collection. Ofcourse Charles Bridge is the most famous landmark and it was first in my list. I made this photo in the early morning from low position to emphasise cobblestones.

Ještěd is the most-known place in Liberec because you can see it from the whole city. On the top of the mountain, there is TV transmitter built-in in a technical architectural style. Inside the building, designed by architect Karel Hubáček, is a hotel and a restaurant, where you can rest and watch beautiful scenery of the landscape and Liberec city.
Ahoj!

That actually is a very important landmark of the region that definitely deserves to be featured in today´s edition.

The Church of Saints Peter and Paul is located in one of the most beautiful places of Karlovy Vary, at the foot of the mountains, between the streets of Peter the Great and Sadovaya.
The temple was built in the style of the Moscow and Yaroslavl churches of the XVII century, with a porch and porches, a covered gallery around, converging at the bell tower. The central dome and dome of the bell tower, crosses, crowning domes, are gilded. The length of the temple is 41 meters, width - 14 meters, the height of the temple under the dome - 21 meters, the height of the bell tower - 40 meters. We visited Karlovy Vary for the New Year, therefore, next to the church is a beautifully dressed New Year's tree.

А у меня уже фотки кончаются))))

У меня тоже.)) Пора ехать за новыми.

Ага...( Только успевай бабосы закидывать. Я и так на этот стим работаю: штатив купил, планшет купил))))) Так бы и не надо....

The Our Lady of the Assumption Co-Cathedral, a majestic Catholic church and one of the dominant landmarks of the city of Opava. In 1995, this impressive Gothic church was declared a national monument. Found in the historic center of the city, it also serves as the second seat of the bishop of the Ostrava-Opava Diocese.

Toll Collection House, Legion Bridge (most Legií), between Lesser Town and New Town
P1080334.JPG
After Prague bridges did not go free ... According to who was the investor of the construction. This bridge was built between 1898 and 1901. And the toll had existed for only a few years. On some bridges in Bohemia money was collected until 1918.
But even this small Art Nouveau building is beautiful! (Tickets for sightseeing cruises are sold today.)
By the way, the bridge changed its name six times. Yet. The political situation in Central Europe has also changed since 1901 six times.

Above the mirror of the river

The surface of the river looked like a solid mirror, through which it seemed you could go to the other side. There was nobody around ... I wanted to stop the time and that let me enjoy contemplation for as long as possible...

We live in the age where we need to appreciate and enjoy life. Yes we need to enjoy the environmemt in which we find ourselves and if the environment is not the type you are proud of, make it better in your own small way. Make an impact.
I live in Czech republic now and i have been here since February and i must confess that i am enjoying the environment. From buildings to vegetation to the entire architechture to the system ..... and to the citizentry. Here is the Brno castle. I am glad i came to Czech

Great entry, I havent seen Petrov from this angle yet I think. Just FYI, you posted the same entry twice ;)

Thank you. The system was so weak

Karlovy Vary is a famous resort town in the west of the Czech Republic. The famous resort is surrounded by low mountains covered with 100-year-old deciduous forests (mostly beech trees). There are numerous paths for hiking and cycling along the mountains, which are kept in perfect order and clean. Its historical part, where numerous hotels and sanatoria are located, is an absolutely fabulous town with very decorative architecture. Most of the buildings were built in the 19th century by Austrian architects, when the Czech Republic was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and the city itself was called Carlsbad.21483144.jpg

karlův most (Charles Bridge)- puente de carlos.
Beautiful and breathtaking bridge. The history that hangs in this city and on this bridge is just gorgeous. There's an amazing view of Prague Castle on the bridge. Stroller friendly area. Close to all attractions. The bridge is busy. if you want good clear photos, go at sunrise. You went have long before it gets congested.

Photo from Prague which I took in 2012, but I don't remember where it was it and why these guns were there... maybe somebody knows story about that?

It's the museum of young czech artists, unfortunately it got shutdown just after couple months. Great stuff to see there though.

Thanks for answer and information :)

A great place to contemplate the history of Prague, many historic buildings to be observed. The square can get very crowded, so best to select a "quiet" period and spend some time. Also a nice place to visit in the evening. Great old town square to look around at beautiful architecture.
