Have you tried the Prague "sightseeing tram" yet?

in #travel5 years ago

Hi everyone!

There are many ways to explore the beauties of Prague, the capital city of my Czech homeland. You can roam around its picturesque old streets on your own, you can pay for a guided tour, you can be shown around by some locals or you can hop on the "sightseeing tram".

But don´t get me wrong here - I am not talking about those hop on - hop off, open-top buses for tourists, the "sightseeing tram" is actually a regular tram (Line 23) owned and run by the city´s department of transport. So why is the tram called "sightseeing"? Well, because it drives through or around a majority of the most beautiful places and landmarks in the city., including the Vinohrady neighborhood, the Narodni Trida Boulevard, the National Theater, the Lesser Town etc.

Since the tram is a regular public transport tram, the only thing you have to pay to enjoy the ride is the regular public transport ticket (starting at 24 CZK / 1 USD per 30-minute ride).

Make sure to try the "sightseeing tram" on your next visit to Prague and don´t forget to share some of the photos you will take during the ride with us in my daily Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge! :)
