Dtube - Eating Giant Water Bugs in Bangkok
The first person I meet in Bangkok is, of course, @waybeyondpadthai because we are both avid DTubers. After I took a nap, she suggested we go to an event in Lumpini Park for the Red Cross. So that is what we did.
There was all manner of food there, of course. Nothing happens in Thailand without street food. One of the food stalls that happened to be quite busy was the one selling all kinds of bugs. Yep, insects. Everything from grasshoppers to silkworm larvae to grub-looking things. @waybeyondpadthai suggested I get some called pimp which happened to be the biggest bugs there. Pimp are giant water bugs, I don't even know where they get them from. The pimp farm? Does this mean I'm pimping now?
See for yourself how it went by clicking the thumbnail above.
Have you ever eaten bugs?

Grasshoppers are our favourite ever since Vietnam where they made wine, salty snacks and chocolates out of them. 😆I mean...protein stays protein, hahah! 🙈

Grasshopper wine??? hahaha. That's the first I've heard of that.
The flying Dave x waybeyondpadthai!@ I can't imagine things getter madder !!!
Bangkok isn't ready for this pair, haha.
So you ate that pimp without any hesitation... very cool, haha... It reminds me of an insect market in the capital of China - I saw more foreigners than locals trying out those bugs. :)
There were a lot of local Thais buying the bugs here. Very few foreigners at the event.
