A walk in Adam - travel with Detlev
Join me on a morning walk
This week I spend a day in Amsterdam aka Adam and after a long evening with some nice beers, a long walk is not a bad idea.
So, follow me through that wonderful city with some nice pictures I did on my way.
Water and houseboat’s
As this is so typical for Amsterdam I had to pick through a few of this boats and canal.
Bridges
When the boats and the cars and all the bicycles share the city you need to arrange the bridge is in a totally different way.
I pictured a few of the moving bridges for you.
Have a closer look
Crans
To move all that goods from the ships to the streets or to the houses you may need some cranes to do this job.
There are a lot stil activ in Amsterdam, even if they look a bit old.
Some more walking
It was a cold and windy February morning and I had around 45 minutes walking time through the city.
This little walk woke me up quite well and I decided to have another little breakfast before I jump into a train going back to my hometown.
Next time I will grab me one of these bikes which everybody in Amsterdam is using. I guess they rent them as well for tourists like me.
All this ships
I really enjoyed to see all these ships in the city.
On my way to the railway station I even had a chance to picture a few quite old ones for you
But every ship seems to be in use in someway, either as a houseboat or even as a boat for doing some work.
