Chieftain IPA in Hastings at the Beach - travel with @detlev
What nice and tasty light and fruity IPA
Travel makes thirsty and while you explore other countries with all the interesting facts about smugglers, history from the year 1066 and the fact that the driver has to get all the directions to drive on the „other“ side of the street - a few beer will help.
This brings me into the mood to....
Try something new
But let’s talk later about beer.
Driving to Hastings
With all the nice white cliffs and „THAT“ noise from all the seagulls we drive slowly through the south of UK
Dragon Bar Hastings
This old bars offer beneath some real great food an unique atmosphere always some nice beer including an interesting look to all the local people.
Finally a beer
So, I went to the bartender and asked for a good local beer and he answered
We don’t recommend the local beer.
He told me that his favorite is the chieftain IPA and I have it a try
Yes, this is a great beer. Not to hoppy but still that light IPA taste and than that tiny fruity grapefruit taste.
Actually the first went for the travel and the second for the taste. This, together with some food, created the power to walk the rest of the city of Hastings. At least the old town and the beach.

More a collection of stones as a sandy white beach, but a very nice walk with fresh air and more seagulls.

BEERtoken. Enjoy it!You want to get up to cliff tops if you're in Hastings.... it's the best bit - it's a bit rough a ready, one of the few cheap places left in the South East, very much on the cards for gentrification!
'We don't recommend the local beer' - that's rough.
Lewes is close to Hastings and home to Harvey's Brewery, and that's well worth checking out - tour and some of the best beer around, they do a different brew each month of the year.
Dark Star in Brighton is also well worth checking out - they tend to do better higher percentage beers.
If you get as far as Surrey - Surrey Hills, Ranmore is an award winner and there's a great brewery called Pilgrim in Reigate.
In Kent - look out for Goachers Gold Star.
There's also a lot of micro pubs in the South East worth looking out for - big on the North coast of Kent, and in my home town of Medway. If you're there the pub with best selection of real ales is the Man of Kent - bit of a dive, but friendly enough!

Ich könnte jetzt auch gut in so einem Pub sitzen und ein Bier schlürfen.
Läuft auch hier in London neben dem Tower.
Die Brewdog Brauerei liegt blöderweise direkt auf dem Weg zur U-Bahn
Habe schon gesehen, dass du in London aufgeschlagen bist und das Wetter scheint auch zu passen. Viel Spass heute Abend.
