Taipei, Taiwan Is The Center Of Financial And Cultural Activities Of Taiwan

Taiwan is an amazing and magnificent island.  Taipei is the islands largest city and the center for most cultural affairs on the island. Here, you experience the scooters for crowed transportation, skyscrapers of today, colorful temples that give meaning to the lives of many, museums sharing the islands history, cultural experiences, and fantastic shopping.

A Taste Of The Aboriginal Seediq Traditional Music In Taiwan

Taipei is one of the centers throughout the island for cultural events. Many events of the different ethnic groups  that call Taiwan Home are featured in their dances, music, exhibits, movies, and so much more.  You can hardly go a day without finding something to explore on the island that does not relate to culture.  The whole island is steeped in the culture of those present and those who came before.

Deep Fried Squid On A stick Is Tasty And Fun To Eat In Taiwan

Deeply embedded in the Taiwanese culture is the habit of eating "little eats." While much of the world eats three sit down meals a day, in Taiean they prefer to graze their way through the day. This is just one of the many "little eats" that you will see at the morning and night markets, as well as scattered through the streets. In this way, you are able to sample many different things on any one day.  So join in the fun, and graze your way through the next market you see. It is fun and delicious.

Financial District Of Taipei, And Home To The Landmark Taipei 101 In Taiwan

With all the exciting cultural events, and the many exhibits of yesterday, you might be surprised to find Taipei is a completely modern city. Modern sky scrapers dot the horizon and landmarks make a statement. The future is bright and the modern world makes a statement throughout the island.

A Typical Business Throughout Taiwan With Their Many Scooters And A  Colorful Bus Passing By

Rain or shine the streets of Taiwan are full of scooters. With so much traffic they are the answer to the congestion of the cities. And then there are the buses that seem to go everywhere.

The Shopping Is Amazing At Danshui Old Street Taiwan

Before leaving anywhere many people like to shop. Taiwan is full of small unique shopping areas such as Danshui, and modern malls that have the world wide classic shops. From trinkets to food, whatever you desire is in a store near you. The shopping could not get any better than Taiwan.

So on your next visit to Taipei, Taiwan, be sure to mingle in all the events of yesterday, seek out the amazing history, and explore the spectacular  new buildings of today, such as Taipei 101.  Explore the many markets with their many "little eats", and everything else you can think of.  A visit to Taipei will be an adventure into the past, present, and future of Taiwan. So get ready, a Taiwanese adventure is waiting!

Don't forget to visit the monkeys but be careful!

Taiwan has so much to see.

We adjusted the thumbnail photo back to it's original. Youtube made some changes, however the video is Taiwan.

Thank you again @exploretraveler for an interesting story about a country that I do not know at all. As a historian, I know the history of Taiwan but I have never been there. Of course, it's possible to see pictures of Taiwan in official travel guides, but your pictures are more about ordinary life and that way you see more of the 'real' country.

Wow! Thank you @clio that is what we try to do, and want people to see the life others lead.

I am currently looking for information on safe and reliable travel.
Because maybe by the end of this year I will try to tour some countries for a vacation.

Top 2 safest place in the world after Japan.

Japan seemed very safe as well. We don't have as much experience there but never had any issues.

Me neither. I was not talking about my own experience but a review I read that was based on different criteria to establish safety indexes per country .

We also found South Korea to be safe as well, and except for the issues up north it was also fine.

Taiwan is extremely safe and we travel throughout the country without fear. The people are extremely friendly, honest, and helpful.

Taiwan is as safe as they come. Not to mention the Taiwanese people are extremely hospitable. I would highly recommend putting Taiwan high on your list of potential countries to visit.

We really loved it there and spent 5 years living there and never had any issues.

I've been to Taipei twice. Amazingly efficient transport system!

A visitor can also visit the zoo, natural spas, and try stinky tofu, which is delicious!

The art museums are also fantastic.

There are so many different types of museums, little eats, etc, that you can not see it all in one trip. It is an amazing place. Thanks @rogvalentin.

I agree. I still haven't been to the top of the tower... It was surrounded by cloud both times I had an opportunity, so I just checked out the shops. There was a crazy-length line for Zara...

The restaurant on top is also really good if you can afford it.

Wow, the place looks really beautiful and the deep fried Squid is just art! I found of the taste of the aboriginal seediq Traditional Music very interesting! Hopefully, I will to go to Taiwan some day!

Thanks @keks it's allot of fun, and you should if you can go. You can always do a backpacker trip and stay in hostels if you need to to save money.

Been there, loved it as well :-)

It's a great place to live as well @tomino maybe we need an Asian Steemfest there. :-)

This looks amazing. Definitely one to add to the list.

Really amazing post.

Thanks for sharing this post.
