Flying High at Bald Hill Lookout
It's the mid week and felt like going out for some fresh air. What better place to breathe it in than high up the mountain at Bald Hill.
This place is a favorite of mine and I seem to always write about it. Used to come up here when I go for a ride with some friends through Royal National Park. So popular now that heaps of tourists flock to see. That's why, even on a weekday, there are lots of people taking photos and simply hanging out.
The view is simply amazing. You can see the coastline and the Grand Ocean Drive that goes towards Wollongong. There are also hang gliders that loves to launch from here.
The main reason that I come here though, is this hotdog.
It is filled with all the yummy goodness and they are all bad for you. That's why it's soooo good!! It has cheese, heaps of them. Deep fried garlic, onions and mustard. This will set you about $6.
I think the difference to a normal hotdog are those fried garlic. Really provides lots of texture when you bite into it.
When, if you do decide to visit this, I recommend getting their famous Chilli dogs. You will be in for a treat.
The famous Flying High van. It's been here ever since I can remember, more than a decade for sure.
Atop the Bald Hill is a another Flying High cafe and clean toilets with baby change facility. It's also pretty clean too.
I have not really tried any food or coffee from this one as I always have been just ordering from the van. It should be just the same.

I would totally get that hot dog purely because of the fried garlic. Because garlic and spring onions goes with almost anything.
I feel the same way riv.. You have to go there and hang glide or just watch them fall off and fly away..
