Ao nang nightlife: Centerpoint
Centerpoint get's its own whole section because the place is massive and is definitely the largest concentration of nightlife in all of Ao Nang. Here virtually any sort of nightlife you are looking for (and some you might not be looking for) can be found.
The photo doesn't do it justice because it is really big. It is 4 stories tall and has around 30 bars / clubs in it. The ground floor houses a majority of them and it quickly becomes apparent which the more popular places are. Chang Bar is by far the most popular and also happens to be the bar that I rarely go to. It tends to be incredibly loud in there to the point where it is nigh on impossible to talk to anyone, including the quite unfriendly bartenders. I therefore tend to gravitate to one of the "satellite bars" such as Smile Bar, which is right next to it for a far more reasonable volume and drink makers who don't treat me with disdain. There are tattoo parlors and also an pretty awful Egyptian restaurant that once served me a tortilla and tried to call it bread.
On the second floor is the more "naughty" places. Sabina, the Web, and Nova are up here and you can tell by the photo what the motif of these establishments is. I'll just leave it at that.
The 3rd floor, which i have only been to once has a place called "Blue Dragon" and it is Ao Nang's only cabaret show. Forget what you think you know about lady-boys, these people are very friendly and they put on a great show filled with song and dance.
On the 4th floor is one of the best bars in all of Ao Nang. It is called Balcony Bar and it is also a hostel that I can't imagine staying at because noise is coming from all angles. However, if you came here to party than I would be willing to bet you can sleep through that.
They are open all day and this is a fantastic place to catch the sunset because they a panoramic view of the entire beach area.
After the sun sets it is also a great place to watch all the action below as you see the beach walk as well as the action taking place in the rest of Centerpoint below.
Finding Centerpoint is extremely easy as they have a massive sign on the beach and are behind the only Burger King in all of Krabi province. Someone WILL approach you with a flyer for an establishment inside at some point and to be honest it is worth a look. Who knows? You might have a great time!
I've read about Centerpoint on yelp, and people claimed it serves delicious dishes. However, I did not know it was this big with distinct apartments. 30 bars, Strip Club, and a hostel?? The place must be really dope. The night lights are alluring as well. Thailand indeed has nice and fun-packed edifices aside the beautiful beaches. Thanks for sharing @gooddream. i still remember when it was less than 1 story in a mini labyrinth of alleyways, and KR bar was the only place you would be able to go without being molested ... :)
I do not know yet in vietnam has a place of night, through your profile and explanation, centerpoint is very memorable to visit, and the most interesting at sunset we can enjoy the beauty with ornate city lights.
does there also provide lodging?

Wooww this place has everything a little and is suitable for all kinds of people except those who can not tolerate so much noise. I loved the last photo the view is indescribable it looks good place to have a nice time.
I suppose that the majority of all of these successful business are owned by thai people hahaha.
