Rocky Mountain High - Colorado

I made it to Winter Park, Colorado. I flew into Denver, rented a car and drove up to Winter Park. It’s about a two hour drive from Denver.

It is so beautiful here. It looks like a winter wonderland with all of the tall spruce trees and snow everywhere. I actually had to drive through some fairly heavy snow for a short time. I drove very carefully and turned on the four-wheel drive in the SUV.

I stopped to eat at a local spot before checking in to the condo. I ordered shepherd’s pie for the first time. It was absolutely delicious!

I also ordered a bread pudding dish to go because I couldn’t eat another bite but the description in the menu made it sound so appetizing.

I am very pleased with the condo and it’s location. It has a western rustic decor and it is very clean. The view from the balcony is breathtaking.

This is going to be a nice little holiday. Stay tuned for further adventures.
