Maiden Europe Train Ride

Oh man! We have just boarded our maiden Europe train ride from Prague to Berlin and we stood for a good 1 station ... all because we couldn’t locate our seats! Lol

Firstly, we didn’t know how to read the ticket. When we travelled in Japan, it was straightforward: car number; seat number. With everyone rushing to board the train and no train conductors in sight, there was no one we could ask. 😰 So, we try to make sense of it and think we are in car 1, seat 41, 43.

When we boarded car 1, it was in a mess. The aisle were narrow, the passengers were big, their bags were huge. For once, I felt our Asian physique were an advantage. We could slide our way through them easily. Hahaha

We finally found our way to seat 41, only to have it occupied by someone. He told us our seats were in another car. With a queue forming behind us, we just had to move forward... so we continued our journey to our seats...

So were the rest of MANY other passengers. 😨

And we continued walking slowly, squeezing through 2 more cars of people, asked 2 persons, me waiting outside the WC (toilets) for R for 10 minutes while he continued the search for our seats...

Finally 30 minutes, we found them!!! ~~~ to be occupied by another Caucasian couple! Lol! And ironically, they asked us for assistance to read their tickets, which we don’t understand too!

In any case, I’m glad we finally get to sit down and removed our winter wear. I think it will be an interesting ride: the train scenery is better than what I saw in Prague and I’m having fun eavesdropping on this couple siting on the next aisle.

So after 10 minutes of pleasant chatting, they finally exchanged their names! They looked quite compatible too! 😍

Probably our maiden train will witness a new love blossoming! 🌹
