๐ First time bouldering in Bishop ๐
I learned that climbing outside is a lot more intense because there is only a small little crash pad you can fall on, so the risks are a lot higher. The rocks are much sharper than the plastic rocks Iโm use to climb indoors, so your hands do get scratched up. While the risks are much higher, the beauty that surrounds you and the adrenaline rush you get from climbing is worth it! Plus, we had good spotters, so that always helps.

*the slab king. Can you believe he climbed this boulder just pushing against slabs? There are no holds to grab onto.

*we also had so interesting rock formations to climb. This rock had a lot of pockets for holds, but the texture of the rock was extremely hard on the hands.

What a great spot! I love to rock climb, haven done to much bouldering but I want to start. I love the rock with the little, bubbly pockets. Great shot of you doing a traverse. Thanks for always posting upbeat, quality content!
awww that's awesome! Bouldering outside is so intense, but so fun! aww well if you and your husband end up visiting Sacramento again, there is an awesome climbing gym called Pipeworks, I could take ya'll there! So much stuff to climb there! :)

AH. I LOVE IT. Since starting steemit I havent had much time to climb. I have been climbing for about 4 years now (usually in a gym).
gym climbing is good fun too! much safer, but being outdoors is also amazing. I'm still healing a collarbone injury so no outdoor climbing anytime soon. But one day. :)
