Day trip: Kionsom Falls
Kionsom Falls is a waterfall park just over half an hour from Kota Kinabalu City. The park has seven waterfalls and, accessible by road, is a perfect place for a day trip during the weekends. Photos taken using iPhone.
Inexpensive entrance fees
Above: The concrete pathway leading to the main pool which is where one of the smaller waterfalls is located.
The chilling waters plus the fine sandy bottom is what I like about this pool. Some pools have rocky bottoms which can be hard on the soles.
Downstream from the pool leading to the another waterfall (requires a bit of trekking).
Crystal clear
Another waterfall upstream, via an alternate pathway just after the entrance. It's bigger than it actually looks!
