Cut Nyak Dien House And Museum - Brave Hero Woman From Aceh

If you want to get to know one of the heroes of Aceh who is very famous for his courage, namely Cut Nyak Dien is not difficult to get to know, even though his tombstone located far in the land of Java but i can visit her house where she used to live in Lampisang village, Aceh Besar. A visit to a historic place is certainly not unusual. Because when visited there it might crossed on my mind the memories of her history like a movie documenter that was played at that time.
Going here is accessible both the road and the building which is located near the highway that connects the City of Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar, with online transportation and private vehicles certainly will not get lost.
Once I arrived here I did not pay the entrance ticket but donated voluntarily. There is a security guard who is guarding this house and he also explains few things in this house. This house is a typical Acehnese house that is in the form of a stilt house that is high from the ground. The stage house in ancient times had many functions, one of it , which was being hard to anyone or animals to try to get inside, it was also safe if there were floods, the materials made of wood with strong pillars. I climbed the side stairs to the entrance, this red painted house was no longer inhabited but turned into the House of Cut Nyak Dien Museum for public.
Inside the house i can see many historical photographs relating to the heroic story of Cut Nyak Dien and her husband Teuku Umar in defending Aceh from colonized by the Dutch army. Some photos were also displayed such as the photo of Teuku Umar and his Acehnese troops, aswell the photo when Cut Nyak Dien, the hero brave woman was catched and exiled by the Dutch to Java island. A very sad photo for the Acehnese, but also proud that because it was not weak body and pain suffered in her face, but surviving in the forest of her own country, she refused to surrender, and the sadness was about got separate away from her homeland and the people she love all her heart.

Actually she's a great heroine from Aceh, we have so many heroines in Aceh and they're also a great inspiratiom for any women in Aceh, though all the heroines came from the wealthy and noble family, but They Fight for their country. It's been so long I never visited the house, I like to enjoy the paintings on the wall... and walking from room to room just to create a story in my head, how's she felt when she heard about her husband strategy.
