All you need to know before you go to Banff

Every long weekend we try to go somewhere to explore BC, Canada. This time it was the Banff turn. It was kinda the long and exhausting trip (800 km of driving and a lot of roads constructions), but still, we really enjoy it.

Couple words about Banff National Park. It's one of the oldest once and located in the Rocky Mountains on the border between BC / Alberta. The Icefields Parkway extends from Lake Louise (actually it was our first stop, I'll show you photos later) up to Jasper National Park (too far, we haven't had a chance to go there). The place where we stopped and spent almost all the time was the town of Banff, in the Bow River valley.

There are different ways how you can get to the Banff - The Canadian Pacific Railway, driving or flying. We decided that the most convenient way for us to get there would be driving (cheap and more freedom in the scheduling), so our journey has begun.

The first stop after long hours driving was a Lake Louise. Unfortunately, it was rainy that day, so we couldn't enjoy hiking. We just made a couple of beautiful photos.

Lake Louise is famous for its turquoise water surrounded by snowy peaks.

You can rent a boat and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of the sunny day.

After being there 40 mins, we found that our clothes were wet and we needed to go changing it. We decided to move on and the next stop was in the town of Banff.

The first impression was that everything was super expensive there - places to stay, restaurants (and the food wasn't extremely good for the price we've paid). But we didn't care that moment - the main aim for us being there was enjoying nature and Banff how it was.

The first thing met us was a waterfall.
