#ULOG 003: Kick off summer! Throw a pool party. Travel-trail.
Oh, summer. The sun perfectly clearing up the sky emitting its glorious rays of splendor for us to bask in. Summer is here and we couldn't be more excited to take a break. During these hot afternoons, pools are magnets. Having a pool party is a must and it is indeed the best way to experience summer. So my friends and I decided to kick off summer by having a pool party! Allow me to share our experience. 😊
1. Trip to the cold springs
We rode a jeepney from the heart of Iligan City to "The Cold springs of Timoga" Buru-un Iligan City. Jeepneys, sometimes called simply jeeps, are the most popular means of public transportation in the Philippines. They are known for their crowded seating and kitsch decorations, which have become a ubiquitous symbol of Philippine culture and art (source). It took us 30 minutes to arrive at our destination.
So here's us enjoying our ride! Yeaah!!
2. Destination
There are many spring resorts in Timoga you can choose- Spring, Dela Mar, Holiday, Mimars, Maze Park and Taytay. We decided to go to the Dela Mar Spring Resort, famous for its 16-ft deep and olympic-sized pool. The entrance fee is 100 php and the table fee is 150php.
As we arrived, we were so excited to jump in the water, but before we did that we first took photos of ourselves. Taking photos when your hair's wet is a bit discouraging haha.

I'm not in the picture because I was the one who took the picture. Sad me 😕
3. "Food Feast"
All the food and drinks were sponsored by our new Department of Science and Technology (DOST) scholars (I love you guys). And, thanks to @mannylumanao and our other classmates for all the preparations. The pancit and grilled pork chops were the best!
4. Bonding
Life's beautiful when you're surrounded by your friends. We've had so much fun, so much memories to treasure.
