Historical Embalawa Rathgal Vehera - Embuldeniya

Good morning or good evening all. Today I want to sharing some beautiful Buddhist location to you. I insert short description because I want upload some photos of my interesting.This is a historical place and placed beautiful location.

This is a entrance gate of Rathgal vehera. Both of right and left sides carved some protectors for saved this temple.Bamboo trees and another beautiful plants with flowers had.

It's Buddha's resting statue made under the large stone. You can see some of paintings on the stone. It was amazing creativity of old peoples. Some people offer the flowers to Lord Buddha.

Another Buddha statue I looked from this temple. Buddhists offering flowers to Buddha. It's our main thing. Behind the statue some paintings draw. They were protectors of Buddhism.

Around temple location huge stones I looked. Also we need to walk between rock caves. It was difficult walk to old Buddhists. Flexibility much need for walk between caves.

Rathgal vehera built top of the mountain on the rock. So people need to walk upwards. There are big trees and stones. So finally anybody will be tired. But around environment giving cool feelings.

The pond seemed sill walking between stones. This was made from old kingdom for necessary needs of monks. Old kings gave help very close to temples because they were Buddhists. Such amazing design.

Another amazing statues on the rock. This is a Mihindu Arhat thero and another five monks. They came from India for introduced Buddhism to Sri Lanka. So they was a memorable characters for any Buddhists. They did important task. Another sided person was king of Devanampiyatissa. He followed deer for hunting. After the followed Buddhism he leaved from hunting activities.

I reached top of the mountain. Then I captured awesome scene. It's a tree covered with vines.

It's wild fruit. Dangerous to eat. I never seen any birds eat them.

Now you can imagine where were I'm. Nicely seemed very nearest villages and some of green nature. Brilliant scenery to my eyes.

Then another amazing design of Standing Buddha statue. Top of the Buddha's head had king of the snake. Snake connected with lord Buddha. Snakes protect Buddhism I heard and learned before.

Finally I came to head of the temple. Golden color Buddha statue very close design to Historical Dambulla oldest temple. More people worship there.
