Underwater Museum on Isla Mejeres, Mexico
The Cancun Underwater Museum is an innovative project set up by Marine Park Director Jaime Gonzalez Canto in Cancun, Mexico. Total 500 sculptures are available in the museum and most of them are made by the British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor.
The remaining sculptures are provided by five Mexican sculptors. Sculptures are placed within three different galleries which are located three meters deep in the ocean water.
This is called Cancun National Marine Park. People started visiting the museum from November 2010.
First time I came to know about underwater museum that exist in Mexico. This is excellent place for ocean divers to explore this museum which has amazing sculptures made by British and Mexican sculptors.
