Visit at the Prison of "The Man of the Iron Mask"

"The man of the Iron Mask is the twin brother of The King Louis XIV of France" - philosopher Voltaire .

This is the Marguerite Island, ancient and largest islands in Les Iles de Lerins in Mediterranean on the Côte d'Azur , near Cannes South France . The Island is well preserve and it’s a good destination for travelers.

Behind the Big wall it is the place where The Man of the Iron Mask was imprisoned. No one ever saw his face because its hidden behind the mask. The identity of man is remains mystery .

It was debated by the historians and theories have been expounded in books and films. Among the theories the philosopher Voltaire claimed that the Man in the Iron Mask is the Illegitimate Brother or even more resemblance a Identical twin of Louis XIV(King of France) . Recent research suggested that his name is "Eustache Dauger”.

On the way to the Island can’t resist the excitement to see the popular Island and Intrigue about the past ..

This is the small village in the island a very old village you can tell in the image of the houses . While I was visiting the place I’ve seen that some of the houses use for the scouting . Its adventure for them I may say.

This was a prison that now use as the Museum called “Musee de la Mer” (Sea Museum)
