The 2 Best Things to do at Hat Yai

Hat Yai is located in the southern part of Thailand and a popular holiday destination for its neighbours from Malaysia and Singapore.

Hat Yai is a shopping haven for kitchenware, Thai foodstuff and clothing but don't expect top of the range stuff. We go to Hat Yai for 2 things; food and massage. I know a couple of guys who would fly budget to Hat Yai at least once a month with their wives just to unwind and de-stress. They enjoy special discounts for hotel accommodation and massage because they are such devout regulars.

I joined these guys on one such trip together with some other friends. They brought us to roadside food stalls, coffee shops and massage parlour they frequent. Food was cheap and yummy. Price for a foot massage was the lowest that I ever had to pay for.

No sightseeing for us; we have seen one too many Thai temples already. So it was a lot of shopping and eating and a couple of massage sessions.
