The Coziness in Iceland 🎉

It is a place you would like to visit only for taking beautiful photos of landscapes.

However, a man who was arrested on suspicion of stealing a 2 million dollar worth of mining tools.

Several months ago, about 600 Bitcoin worth of mining computers were robbed of multiple robbery incidents in Iceland. Since then the police are looking for clues and 11 suspects have been interrogated, but the incident has not yet been resolved. The robbed computer is still missing.

Sindri Thor Stefansson, who was suspected to be the mastermind of the robbery case, was accommodated in a light guard, but he jailed and took an airplane to Sweden. As an aside, it happened that the plane was also traveling the Prime Minister of  Katrín Jakobsdóttir  in Iceland. Over the next five days, while his photo all over the media, he kept frowning and was flying through Europe.

Mr. Sindri answered an interview with the New York Times from a prison in the Netherlands. According to the NY Times, Sogn prison in Iceland seems to be a place of considerable treatment. Prisoners are provided with flat screen televisions in individual rooms, and cell phones and the Internet are permitted. Surrounding the building is not a thick wall, only a few meters of iron fence.

From our point of view, it is a place to dare to prison with bad environments or to make you think that you do not want to come here again. But realistic, getting deprived of freedom is unpleasant for everyone. Iceland is famous as one of the countries with the lowest crime rate in the world, and there seem to be not many people who dare to commit crimes on rice and television.

The Bitcoin miners are gathering in Iceland to take advantage of cheap electricity bills and a cool environment. But if the crypto currency itself was made illegal by governments all over the world, perhaps that it is best to be caught in Iceland.
