My review on Czech Republic.

in #travel6 years ago (edited)

Czech Republic, the country I am currently living in (will see for how long?), has it`s positives and negatives - that is for sure. I do not know where to start since the list of negatives are so massive, I will try to point out the positive things first.

First of all I will mention the Czech beer since this is the country where light lager was invented, in the city of Plzen. Not only is it very tasteful, but it is also incredible cheap. When you come from a country where they try to keep the alcohol consume low with taxes, it is fair to mention that the only time the Czech people was close to a revolt was in the 90`s - when the communist party wanted to increase the beer price with 5,- czkr. The Czech people were furious, even more furious than when the Russians invaded them in 1968.

Except the beer the price level in general is very convenient, and the food is also above average. The Czech kitchen is not made for veggies since it seems to me that most of their food is made to go hand in hand with their famous beer. I must admit that I also appreciate that the people are quite laid back, but I guess it is because the men in this country are a bunch of alcoholics - or cowards. I leave that up to you to decide, but from my point of view it is a mix of those 2.

Since I am married to a Czech woman I will also add the standard of their women, they are good looking - at least those without their Slavic nose looking more like a bird than a human being. Since the Czechs have no balls they like to kick downwards in the society, it might make them feel a bit better themselves. If you represent a minority you will be harassed, however, this doesnt seem to apply for people coming from the Nordic countries since we have been overtaking their best areas for 100`s of years.

Their standard of service is below average, and you can hardly see a Czech person laugh or smile. 30 years of Communism actually means that they have been educating thieves for the same period - and if you do not pay attention you will soon see their money grabbing hands in your pockets. They like to sit around you, because they basically do not have money themselves - and are always looking for someone else to take their tab.

Conclusion:

Czech Republic is a country worth paying a visit, maybe for a living too - but make sure you bring with you your own money since this people are among the slowest on the planet earth. The architecture is extraordinary, and I guess it is the best with the country in general. Be aware of the people here around, they lack self respect - and more important respect for others or other peoples money. Most of the big companies are on foreign hands since they do not have the skills to run it themselves. Food is alright, and it is a safe country to travel in. Cities worth paying a visit are Prague, Cesky Krumlov and Olomuc - and except Vlatva, the big river in the Bohemian valley, the nature is somehow boring.
