Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure, Moscow

My today post is about the Gorky Park, Moscow. I hope you all will like.
On August 12, the Moscow Culture and Recreation Park, known as Gorky Park, will celebrates its 90th anniversary. It is the favorite place for entertainment and active recreation of Muscovites and guests of the capital.
It's the only park in the world, says Anton Yakimov, director of human resources at Gorky Park.
"The park was opened as a meeting place for city workers, workers and peasants, as well as bourgeois. In the twenties of the twentieth century, this place was marked by the agricultural and craft exhibition of all Russia. Mr. Vlassov and Mr. Melnikov, masters of world architecture, took charge of the construction of the park."
Growing in the 1930s, the park now bears the name of the great Soviet writer Maxime Gorky. During the Second World War, enemy war materials were displayed in the park to encourage the Soviets. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the victory over the Nazi troops in 1955, the central entrance was raised, as we know it today. Even in the most difficult times, a nautical station, dance floors and open-air rinks were open in Gorky Park. So this oasis of cheerful and happy life was greatly adored by Muscovites and guests of the city.
In the 90s, the image of the park changed like the whole country. You could find fast food kiosks, entertainment of all kinds, and so on. Only the gateway referred to the initial design of the park. Over time, the park has regained its importance. In the old-fashioned image, a major reconstruction was implemented in 2011. Back again are green paths, ponds with fish, fountains and sculptures, music halls and study rooms. The park organizes outdoor events throughout the year at the example of Hyde Park in London. People of different ages and interests visit the park.
Today, the park presents its modern image. Besides the singing of birds, it offers us wifi, bike paths and deckchairs along the docks. On weekends it welcomes around 100,000 people.
