From Goreme to Ulchisar
We stayed in Goreme and drove to the Ulchisar town. Here is the map for you to follow when you drive to Ulchisar:
This is a small tourist town Ulchisar in Cappadocia. Lots of tourists come here to explore the Castle that you see in front of you. Take a day to explore the town.
Ulchisar Castle
Look how high up the castle is. At the very top, you see a red Turkey flag there. BE sure to get to the top.
The only way to get up to the castle to the top is to follow the trail from below that winds you up to the top. It takes about 4 to 5 hours to explore everything in this castle. There are cave openings that allow you to see what's inside the cave.
This is really a fun adventure.
As you wind yourself up the mountain, there are lots of lookout where you can see the beautiful Cappdocian fairy land with all its different rock formations. Be sure to bring your camera to take lots of photos.
Tourist Ulchisar Town
In the picture, you see the town where there are lots of shops and cafes. It takes about an afternoon to visit tourist shops. They have lots of hand-crafted sourvenirs made by the locals. Entering into their shops is like entering into a museum. I will show you their splendid stores in my next blog.
Cappadocia is very unique in its own rights, even in souvenirs. We bought lots of souvenirs to bring home to our friends. We have traveled a lot to many places. You can't find such unique crafts elsewhere in this world.
