Snowdonia
In the northwest of Wales is the Snowdonia National Park with its impressive mountain scenery and the long coastline. This area is one of the wettest in the UK, is home to rare animals and plants and has a very special highlight for us.
Im Nordwesten von Wales befindet sich der Snowdonia Nationalpark mit seiner beeindruckenden Berglandschaft und der langen Küstenlinie. Dieses Gebiet zählt zu den feuchtesten in Großbritanien, beherbergt seltene Tiere und Pflanzen und hat noch dazu ein ganz besonderes Highlight für uns bereit.
Blaenau Ffestiniog
The overburden hills of the small town on the edge of the national park have already seen from a distance. The blue slate mined there is a very special stone, Stonehenge was built from these stones and of course I had to take some of them with me to build my own Stonehenge in the garden.
Die Abraumhügel der kleinen Stadt am Rand des Nationalparks sind schon von weitem zu erkennen. Der blaue Schiefer der dort abgebaut wird ist ein ganz besonderer Stein, Stonehenge wurde aus diesen Steinen gebaut und ich musste mir natürlich ein paar davon mitnehmen um mein eigenes Stonehenge im Garten zu errichten.

Schöne Idee mit dem eigenen Stonehenge. Von blauem Schiefer habe ich allerdings noch nie gehört.

Snowdonia is a very special place for me! Did you do the horse shoe?! It rained like crazy all day long! The fog also came down very fast!
You photos bring back lots of nostalgic memories! You make me want to go hiking in Wales again!
