Claude Monet Gardens in Giverny
While Victoria and I were in Paris a couple of years ago, we decided to take a summer jaunt to Giverny to visit the Claude Monet Foundation, which are home to stunning floral landscapes and the famous water-lily pond which he painted so often. Giverny is a small village in the middle of Normandy, but Monet fell in love with it when his train passed by in 1883, eventually living there for 43 years. Victoria and I understood why as we left a small piece of our hearts with the lavender scented gardens.

Beautiful photographs @seanreilly. We went to Gverny once but when we got there it was closed. It was a Bank Holiday Monday and had assumed that not only would it be open but that it might be a bit busy! 😱
Ah, absolutely gutted for you! Did you drive at least? We had to take a train, then a bus. It took quite a while to get there, but absolutely worth it!
Yeah. We drove so it wasn't too bad and we were passing through anyway @seanreilly. It just seemed nuts to us that it wasn't open on a Bank Holiday. 😊
