SeanyTravels (Japan) #28 THE BEST KARAAGE IN THE WORLD!
This Karaage 唐揚げ is the Best. Period.
It's so Good that I am posting it straightaway without explaining how I even got here.
I first bought this randomly from a store in front of the shopping district that my Airbnb was located at.
It was purely a chance encounter. We felt quite hungry after travelling for the day, and this was the first shop we saw after unpacking our luggage in the Airbnb.
But what a Pleasant Surprise we had. After our first bite, we knew that this was immediately the BEST Karaage in the World that we have eaten. The name of this shop is ふうふう (FuuFuu) Karaage and Takoyaki. You can find their locations on their website here: http://www.fufu22.co.jp/shop.html
One thing unfortunately, this shop is strictly only found around Osaka. None in Tokyo.
I will definitely try to find one of their outlets again when I visit Osaka this July, hopefully!
So what happened before I found this Karaage? I was actually leaving Tokyo to Osaka via Shinkansen (Bullet Train).
This is one of my favourite modes of transportation ever. Extremely comfortable and enjoyable ride experiences Every. Single. Time.
We got off at Shin-Osaka Station, and had to take a few loops of trains around to reach the city.
Our house was not located near the main city centre, so we had to take a bus out further. This was because for this trip, I specifically chose a location nearer to Universal Studios Japan, so that did not have to leave USJ too quickly at night.
Our Airbnb Apartment was located within a Shopping District (Shotengai 商店街). It was not the most accessible place, and I think that of all the places I have stayed at in Japan, this was by far the one that required the most walking, or otherwise, waiting for the bus. But I believe it was all worth it, as we managed to find the One Karaage Stall that we will remember for life.
If you are ever in Osaka, please try to find one of their outlets. You will love it!!

thanks for the info on Best Chicken ever.. but unfortunately I would never taste it.. (unless someone import it to Singapore) but kudos anway!

The US will never get its act together and build bullet trains. California tried to fund one but the US gov't isn't helping out :(
ahahah this and KFC tastes really different tho!
US is too huge though, think the bullet train will cost a bomb!
