My Visit to Itakhola Mura, A Historical Place of Bangladesh.
Tomorrow I've visited one of the oldest historical place of my home district named ITAKHOLA MURA. It's situated in Cumilla Koatbari. Though is was a Buddhist Temple but localy its known as The Itakhula Mura. By a excavation of ground people found that old Temple here. The researchers says that the temple and the things they found are almost 3,000 years old. After finding the temple they also discovered a VIHARA at the northern side of the Mura. Researchers found some antiquities at here. These are 1. 18 tola of solid gold, 2. 1 silver coin, 3. 1 copper plate. They also found a lot of things but those are the noteworthy antiquities. Besides all of these there is also a large statue of BUDDHA situated in the middle of the Temple. The govt. has transferred the upper side of the statue to Mainamati Museum due to security purpas. After a research the scientists found that everything they found in the Temple and also the bricks of the Temple maybe build since 7th A.D. to 12th A.D.
