At the Front Ground of the Temple, Yong Ju Sa

in #travel5 years ago

There were no gate such as Heaven Kings gate and Geumgang Warrior gate of Buddhist style.
Instead, I could see the pavilion of Confucian style.
The stone pagoda stood in front of the pavilion.

Strange thing was that stone pagoda seemed to be made in Goryeo dynasty.
In my opinion, the pagoda looked like to be made in Goryeo dynasty.

Even though this temple was built by the order of King, there were lots of piled stone pagoda everywhere which were symbol of ordinary people’s wishes.

The pavilion was typical Confucian style, but the poem of Buddhist meaning was carved on the stone pillars of the pavilion. It must be the harmony of Buddhism and Confucianism.

@slowwalker, First time see no gates in Korean temples. I saw more times more Korean temples from your posts. But there had 2 or 3 gates for entrance. But here not. It was amazing thing for me. seven steps of stone pagoda built very in front of hall. It's impressive scenery. So many pilled stone pagodas seemed finally. I haven't any idea about typical Confucian style. But your explain better for understand something. Great captures.

Wow. This is so amaz. Great pictures. Front view of the Temple. Good capture .@slowwalker

Wow, really nice picture. Thanks for sharing this with us :)

Really Amazing when you think about it How These Temples are Standards of Time................@slowwalker

nice picture and full of harmony. Buddhism and confucianism can mix in the architecture and create a monumental building.
Thank you @slowwalker for sharing this journey to this temple
Warm regard from Indonesia

The pavillion looks very strong and well-maintained @slowwalker and it is interesting to see that people would come there and make a stone pilings as Pagodas for themselves too without the need of carving one out from stones.

I like the fact that all the people are the same, they all make wishes and hope that it comes true. I believe it is in every nation and culture and even we are grown up and not believe in magic but still have a little hope :)

Thank you for the unique photos of interesting
and pagodas, @Slowwalker .

Thanks to you, we learn more about the culture
and architecture of your country.

We get acquainted with its history.
