Dae Wung Jeon of Yong Ju Sa Temple Dedicated to the Prince ‘Sa Do’.

in #travel5 years ago

Dae Wung Jeon is the main hall in Buddhist Temple.
What I’d like to introduce Dae Wung Jeon hall is the difference of that building from others.

The first difference was the dragons hung beneath the eaves under the roof.
The size of the dragons was quite large to other dragons on the front upper wall.

The difference I found out was the cornerstones. The cornerstones were similar to that of Royal building of Choson dynasty.

My mom stood near the Dae Wung Jeon, the pillars of which were very thick comparing to others.
They seemed to adapt the palace building standard in this hall, because this temple was dedicated to the memory of the prince ‘Sa Do’.

@slowwalker,
The dragon seems more colorful and craft full than dragons statues in my country!

Cheers~

beautiful !greetings to mum.

@slowwalker, Finally I got some idea why Yong Ju Sa Temple dedicated prince Sa Do. You found two difference points in Dae Wung Jeon hall.

The first difference was the dragons hung beneath the eaves under the roof.

Yeah. After got point from you I believe it from my eyes. They're so long. I can't get imagine about corner stones difference. But your vision so powerful with live visual. Perfect photography collection.
