Doi Inthanon, the Highest and Beautiful Mountain in Thailand
Doi Inthanon is the highest and beautiful mountain in Thailand. It’s situated in Chiangmai, in the North of Thailand. Most people in Thailand love to visit there as the weather is cool throughout the year. Especially in winter, you will find fog all day and see amazing frost flower, which we call “Mae Kha Ning” in Thai, all over the area, in the early morning. These create stunning view indeed.
We, the same as people in hot countries, are all excited with this phenomenon and take a lot of photos of them.
(Unfortunately, my brother (who sent these photos to me) is not an early bird as I told you before, so there is no photo for this scenery again…. When he woke up, everything that I described above had already gone!) ;D
No matter whether you travel for day trip or stay overnight in a tent like the ones in below photos, I can guarantee you that Doi Inthanon is one of romantic places that you will feel cool with your beloved ones.
Doi Inthanon has various kinds of trees and pine trees are ones among them.
Here below you will see pine trees forest nearby Doi Inthanon…. I love that there are plenty of pine trees around the area and all of them are very tall and beautiful!
While walking among them, we look very small when comparing with those pine trees, as you can see from the following photos…. Ah! Amazing!
Looking at the sun through these pine trees is even more wonderful! It’s one of my favorite view!
I can say that Doi Inthanon is the place that you must not miss if you visit Chiang Mai! ;)
@tangmo,
What a wonderful place on earth to visit! You reminds me my last visit to the Hill Country! Yeah like you expressed I also see that beauty here too! Like you said we should wake up early to see those beauties! Great photography and thank to you and your brother too!
Cheers~
Thanks a lot for your nice comment. I'm glad that you like the place and this can remind you to your last visit to the Hill Country where you can see the beauty of nature as well. ;)
Magnificent pine trees and they must be very old to be such giants. And look at all of those marvelous clouds. I won't be staying in a tent where there is frost but I would love to walk around during the day. Thanks for the tour. : )
Yeah! I also love those marvelous clouds and the pine trees are also my favorite. Um! They should be very old indeed. Let's walk around together when we visit there! Thanks a lot for your nice comment. ;)

Nothing like being outside in such a wonderful place, Thailand has so much natural beauty.
Many thanks for your nice comment. I’m very happy to hear that! Yeah! And I absolutely agree with you, “nothing like being outside in a wonderful place”. ;)
I love the big pine trees. Remind me of the dryer parts of places I have worked over the years. (We do not have many pines here, like they do in this park.) Thanks for showing us another wonderful place to camp in your area. I bet it gets a lot of use, when the temperatures go up, as you said in my post that they are doing now. Such a cool relief from the heat. I like the roof they put over the tents for rain and sun. ( I think we need to talk to your brother, and get him to go to bed earlier, so he can get UP earlier, and take more photos ( :
Thanks so much for your nice comment! I love the big pine trees, too. I’m happy to hear that this can remind you to the places you have worked over the years…. That would be a good memory for you!
Yes, it’s a wonderful place for camping and a cool relief from the heat indeed.
Um! I totally agree with you, we need to talk to my brother and I do really hope that he would follow our advice…. Ha ha! ;D
Those pine trees are wonderful! The sky is majestic blue! I hope to visit this mountain range one day!

I love the sky and these pine trees, too. I hope you can visit your friend in Chiang Mai and travel to Doi Inthanon soon. Thanks a lot for your nice comment. ;)
Hi! Cheingmai seems to have air pollution problems this season!! This we are experiencing micro dust attack and drought!

Um! Okay, maybe next time when there is no air pollution in Chiang Mai, you may plan to visit Doi Inthanon.... ;)
Yeah! The end of the rainy season should be good for visiting the northern provinces! Farmers burn their fields in dry season! Winter is also very good but there’ll be more visitors as the weather is very nice!
