As promised in my post, https://steemit.com/travel/@tangmo/relaxing-time-at-bang-sai-folk-arts-and-crafts-center-ayuthaya-province-thailand-part-i, today, I would like to present you some more photos of Bang Sai Folk Arts and Crafts Center, in Ayuthaya province, Thailand.

Apart from the wonderful scenery beside the Chao Phraya River as you already saw via the mentioned post, I also had relaxing time with the amazing sculptures and magnificent architectures of buildings in this place and, I think, they can also attract your eyes.

Starting from the main building of the place. It is very large and has magnificent architecture with Thai style. I especially like the roofs that have many steps.

In front of the building, you will also see huge golden sculptures of a female giant, named “Nang Phisuea Samut ”, and a young kid, named “Sutsakhon ”, who is riding on his gorgeous dragon horse, named “Nil Mangorn”, floating on the big wave. Really amazing, right?

These sculptures are from our famous Thai literary, “Phra Aphai Mani” which is considered as the longest poem in Thai language. I learned a lot about the poem from our school when I was a student and I do love it. It’s about love story between the hero, “Phra Aphai Mani” and his lovers, mermaid, giant, and other women, etc. If you would like to know more about the story, you may follow this link, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phra_Aphai_Mani. These sculptures can bring me to the good memory….

The following photos are from another side of the building that are surrounding with a lot of green trees and beautiful flowers as well.

Ah! I do really like these….The trees with elephant shapes! They are very cute. (You may notice them from the above photos as well.)

(For your information, in the past, we considered “elephant” as one of significant symbols of Thailand.)

And the sculptures of Thai buffaloes.....

Great, right?

The following photos, you will see “Pratumnak” (Thai name) which is a Thai-style house surrounding with water. The back of the house is next to very large beautiful lake with wonderful scenery. (Yes, apart from the Chao Phraya River, you can also keep relaxing with this lake inside Bang Sai Folk Arts and Crafts Center.)

This house was built for His Majesty the King 9 and Her Majesty Queen to stay and relax among nice nature.

In front of the house, there is a beautiful monument of our former King on the horse. (Sorry, but I forgot to read his name of the sign.)

At the base of the monument, if you can notice, there are a lot of colorful sculptures of rooster that people brought to worship the monument of the King.

Apart from “Pratumnak”, there are also ancient Thai houses of each four parts of Thailand that have their own styles of architectures. Unfortunately, the zone is closed for renovation, I can take photo of the ancient Thai Southern house only, as below.

As you may notice, most of Thai ancient houses were made of wood and raised up high, so you have to climb up the stairs to go inside the houses. This is to avoid any dangers; snakes, flood, etc. You will feel cool while staying in the house because of the high roof that can flow the air in and out of the house.

The last amazing sculpture that I would like to show you is “Nai Khanom Tom” who was the most famous Thai boxer in the past. His wonderful arts of Thai boxing are well-known until present. This sculpture is one of the famous postures of Thai boxing.

Apart from the sculpture, I also like the sun at the background of the photos. It’s REALLY BIG and MAGNIFICENT! Do you agree with me?

The following photo is a big sign of the name, "Bang Sai Folk Arts and Crafts Center", in Thai language, decorating with beautiful pots of flowers on both sides and surrounding with wonderful green trees.

As you can see, Bang Sai Folk Arts and Crafts Center has very large area, I had very relaxing times with the beautiful scenery beside the river (Part I) and these amazing sculptures and wonderful architectures can relax my eyes (Part II) as well.

I hope, you can also feel relaxed, like me, through these photos.

The folk arts and crafts center is a beautiful place and so is the landscaping. The different shapes of the trees and bushes, and the flower garden is very pretty. My favorite is the ancient Thai house made of wood with the lake view. How relaxing indeed! Beautiful photos of this interesting place @tangmo! : )

Many thanks for your nice comment. I'm happy to hear that you like the place, the trees, the flowers, especially the ancient Thai house of wood with the lake view which is my favorite, too. ;)

Wow! This place is beyond my expectation! The place is huge and has a big lake with nice landscaping and lots of flowers. The sculptures are very lively as if they would move during the night. I should have a picnic there one day.
