Skyline of Qingdao, China from May 4 Plaza.
The 2008 Olympic sailing events were held in Qingdao and the large redish sculpture commemorates a pro-democracy movement in China around 1917. The movement lost support when the Allies failed to honor promises made to China after World War 1. The broken promises involved returning occupied territories to China for sending troops to France. The entire Olympic Sailing Center is very photographable (if that's a word).
