Four Wonders in One Year!!!!
Hi Steemers! Let me tell you about that one time we got to see four of the world wonders in one year!
First up was the iconic Incan citadel of Machu Picchu. We did a four day adventure trek to get here and it lived up to all our expectations and then some.
Perched high up in the Peruvian Andes, the city itself as well as altitude will truly take your breath away.
Second was the Great wall of China. When $400 return tickets to Beijing popped up, how could we not go??
Seeing the wall wind up and over the mountains was so cool to see... and was crazy to think that the whole length of it goes for just over 21, 000kms!
Third on the list was the Great Pyramids of Giza, this only surviving ancient wonder did not disappoint.
Truly amazing how big they are! It boggles the mind how they were built and how well they have endured the test of time.
Scraping in with days to spare on the year mark, was our fourth wonder... the rose city of Petra.
We felt like Indiana Jones stand ins while walking the old routes used for trading between the middle East and Asia. Was a great finale to our year of wonders!
It was a great achievement to bank all those great memories in just one year 😁 all the working hard through out the year and saving were well worth it!
