🍭🍫 Melba's chocolate factory 🍫🍭

Hi Steemers! Ever wanted to visit a working, old school chocolate factory? Whilst not as over the top as Willy Wonka's, Melba Chocolate Factory in the Adelaide Hills still has a quaint charm about it.

Set in a heritage listed complex and using 1940's chocolate and confectionery making equipment, visitors are welcome into the emporium style factory and shop.

Surrounding the shop floor are several manufacturing process rooms. On any given day, some or all of the these rooms are in use and visitors are encouraged to view and speak to the staff as they work.

Depositing room

Toffee room

Packing room

Entry to the factory is free but doubt you will leave with out spending any money.. With plenty of old favourites like rocky road, licorice all sorts, musk sticks, choc covered nuts, hard boiled lollies, freckles you are sure to find something that you won't be able to resist buying!
