'Medieval Castle Bed'

crta.png

A bit too dark for my liking but it goes well with stone walls and a fireplace. Wouldn't you enjoy spending a night in this bed? I would gladly if I had a chance. :)

Enjoy your day! :)

I think we've talked before about how important the materials were to our ancestors. With every construction, object, they sought permanence, to leave traces through time. The wood of the bed looks strong and has some beautiful carvings. Not only was it useful, it was also making art. Sleeping in that bed may be a pleasant experience! Maybe you dream of princes and castles! Nice Friday for you, @velimir.

Quite a work of art, that bed. It would be great to sleep in it like a queen. I close my eyes and perceive the smell of that fine wood and so well worked. Thank you for sharing, @velimir.

Old carpentry (or making furniture) was an art. In Spanish there is a term for expressing that art with fine woods: "ebanistería" (ebony was the fine wood par excellence). Achieving those reliefs, drawings, mouldings, etc. was the product of a dedicated and delicate work. Some of that can be seen in your photos.

Must be a sight to see the history of the Medieval times

wow... this is a sick photo... like to see more like this...what Cam have you use? wishes from Thailand
