After a eleven years of travelling, we can understand that you love to see what happens in real-life instead of the touristy stuff. To be honest, some of the best places we have seen have been with locals that can show us a place rather than doing what the tourist map or the receptionist at the hotel recommends.
Sam is with you on the food shopping over clothes shopping, but it's not too bad ;) But can't spend more than an hour shopping for clothes!
