Haha, I experienced this in most Latin American countries I have been to too :) In Cuba, these ladies even have fans to cover their faces and only show them to you to take a photo after you give them some money :D

I like the town a lot, walking down the streets is prety cool! About the tips for taking photos is often there in towns like that ,because the local people believe tourits are ready to pay for anything they like to do.

currently i am in myanmar so the video is taking forever to load.. why is it nothing is free in peru.. is it bec many tourists coming in?
Myanmar! That is the one south east Asia country I've never visited......for reason like that. I like my comfort, poor internet is always a pain.
It's more like just this touristy area of Cusco; otherwise Peru is a great "pay less get more" country!
Yes you would expect it from Cusco now and that's a shame, but they need to make a living somehow. Still it's very cheeky. Like we said in the last video, that square where you started off is the place where Sam stayed. His hotel was located there, but can't seem to remember the name.
Where everver there are tourist there will be locals trying to make a living off them.....no, I don't blame them. It just is what it is! So cool that I'm giving Sam a bit of a flash back with these videos. If come off annoyed in the video, it's simply because overly touristy places I find annoying......sometimes! lol
You did say you prefer roaming off the beaten track and avoid touristy places as much as you can. The frustration also comes as a traveler travelling for a eleven years and seeing the impacts of tourism - both positively, but probably more negatively (or at least, this is what we remember more of).
