Fishermen Boats With Black Flags - Piran, Slovenia (2018)
Here is another photo from my recent holiday in Piran, Slovenia. In the marina you can see several small fishing boats. I still don't know why some of them have black flags on them. I have always wondered what that means. If sobody knows, let me know. In the middle of the photo is view of Tartini Square, main town square.
It depends on how/where it's flown. most likely the three I see are an affiliation flag. Harbor, club, ect.
I did not see any quritisy flags. so that is my best guess with out more information.
For some reason all the flags are black. They are not even real flags, but some black plastic folie put on the stick at the side of the fishing boats.
I don't know what they are for. so many things. from net markers. best way to find out is ask one of them. there is no international code for it.
